Because it is the best reason he can think of for why his opponents lose. Besides it is not grunting. Those are little moans of pleasure at hitting winners.

No, he's hated for basically no reason. The reasons that you have stated arent real reasons anyway

the man plays a sport he loves and has success in it and thats why he's hated, yeah that makes a whole lot of sense

find me someone with stats better than that, go ahead

also, before you do go and look. First i want you to make sure that the person you find has played the big 4 at least as many times as ferrer has or someone within at least 5 games of that. If you cant then dont bother because the comparison wont be fair

7-30 in games games

13-1 in sets vs Delpo, Berdych and Tsonga. Domination at its best.

First set he's grunting normally during his shot, then second set it's another story, best illustration is the point for Ferrer to win the second set at ~2.50 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dKszU8T0hCA

His grunt is at the moment of Haas' contact with the ball, which imho is partially the reason for him to shank it.

From there on the highlight doesn't reflect the real situation, they switch too fast an there's barely anything on the second and first half of third sets.

You can see though how there is no grunting at all when the guy is leading 4-3, 5-3 etc.

He grunts only when he needs to. Just despicable.

The second set winning point is describing perfectly what was happening for half the match, but isn't on the highlight.

That's simply a matter of him holding his breath while he strikes the ball, it's not on purpose.

And way before Haas hits it.

Tastes differ. Some (I take it you are one of them) are content with Ferrer´s win, but I was disappointed with the result. I do not feel I need to make any excuses for the way I responded: it was my legitimate, if somewhat emotional view of things. If ´mindless nonsense´ is what you make of it, that is your call, but I do not feel the need to change my conduct. Have a good day.

Haas thought you'd beat David this time.

Well congrats to David and his fans.

Ferrer beat Haas on indoor carpet in 2005

It's so unfair when the COURTS keep getting blamed when Player X loses/wins.

It's about context. If you actually watched it faster conditions would have given him a much better chance of winning this match since Haas was clearly ailing in the last third and getting zero free points even on massive serves. A match from 8 years ago when both were completely different players is something only you would bring up. Furthermore if we replayed this match but changed it to indoor carpet Haas would have probably won this in straight sets on form.

Double standards.

"Attacking" player loses to "grinder". Courts are to blame. Period. Nothing else is considered.
"Attacking" player loses to "grinder".....on a blazing fast, low bouncing court. EVERYTHING is considered.

Double standards.

The argument was that the COURTS are to blame. And when the courts are NOT to blame, it's something else. And when THAT'S not to blame, it's something else. And so on and so forth.
