I have always liked Daniel's groundstrokes, but unfortunately pretty groundstrokes don't always win matches I don't really get why he doesn't play more clay tournies. It is a better surface for him than hard as it allows him more time to set up his groundies.
Di Mauro will be Daniel's opponent in the final. Saw his semifinal match against Sandgren. The quality was poor, so many moonballs I quit watching halfway. Daniel seemed to have easier time generating pace than Di Mauro. Playing a lefty is never easy, but if DK can hit his backhand well I see no reason why he can't win this match. Hopefully, he will not be too nervous in his first challenger final. Good luck Daniel!
64 36 26 too bad that he couldn't take advantage, that was a very winnable match. Really sloppy 2nd and 3rd sets. Daniel needs to watch a video of how he played in the first set. Nevertheless, good week.
