So then you're not a true fan, you fan only for his successes. I have wasting more 10 years of my time for Hewitt and I have not thought, about what I was wasting my time, if you want only the successes, there are Djokovic, Nadal or Federer.
I think the despair was not at not winning, but at putting a big night out above winning as a priority. This has never been the case with Hewitt. Supporting a player who is giving his all even when not winning (Hewitt) is very different then supporting a player who makes more press for from nightclubbing than tennis (Tomic at times in the past but hopefully less and less).
Surely the upcoming match against Murray will focus Tomic and no one will feel 'why should supporters care whether Tomic wins if Tomic does not care about what happens on court?', instead we will see a Tomic not recovering from a party and worth cheering for whether he wins or not.
If Tomic defeats Murry he gets the seeded ride from then on all the way. If he focus this could be breakthrough.
Bernard did talk about maturing, learning from his mistakes, and focusing more on tennis...but then he goes on and behaves the same way by getting pulled over for speeding, partying, retiring in a match only to go to the player's party later that night, etc.
