6-0 5-7 6-3 easy job, should have been in straights if Tommy didn't make 2 DF's in the finish of 2nd set.

Good to see he didn't choke after all

tricky though, Dolg or Davydenko... should be a good one in either case.

Yeah one of his best performances in a while.
Knowing how bad Tommy is at windy conditions, I was really surprised to see him it so many winners and so few UE's.

I had exactly the same thought. The Dog seemed much more bothered by the wind.

Maybe Tommy worked out and practiced some wind strategies before coming to Miami.

Well, he's facing a tough challenge in the next round. I hope he won't let Djokovic intimidate him.

I never thought I would be on MTF long enough for so many, many, many, posters here to be crazy about Tommy! I remember when most didn't like him! Now you would think he is the greatest thing since Swiss cheese

Congratulations and well-done to Tommy! It reminded me of the Stepanek v. Almagro Davis Cup rubber. Great strategy, well-executed--and Tommy had just enough good luck to have caught Djokovic on a very bad day.

And hey, American media - are you ready FINALLY to embrace Tommy as the naturalized citizen he is, as a guy who has lived here for >20 years? Gee, do you think that MIGHT promote American interest in tennis and help TV ratings? Hmmmmm? I don't mean this in any way to disrespect his German citizenship or heritage--I'm just talking about how the US media is missing out on a big opportunity. He's a great player and a likable guy. How about showing his matches regularly and getting more people interested in and cheering for him? Our Tennis Channel geniuses couldn't even allow time for his post-match interview! I guess I should be glad they showed the match live.

Don't believe the bs they talk on MTF, 98% of them are just (Nadal/Fed/Murray) fans who like to see Djokovic lose. Sad but true. Kudos to all true Haas fans who know how great this victory was!
