I mean, why do you even feel the urge to say that. Nadal hasn't played a match without pain since his early teens, everyone knows that. Nadal troubled by pain threw beatdowns on a healthy and lucky and 100% Federer and that is what makes his career so remarkable and admirable. Yesterday it was probably the first time (second time at the most) when The Warrior beat Federer who was hampered by something, albeit surely slightly. You could say that Nadal's (obvious) and Federer's (less obvious) injuries sort of evened out in yesterday's match but please, Federer, who is thought to be a bit soft, deserves props for showing up without his "I'm at 100%" handicap.

Thus ends one of the BETTER rivalries in Tennis. (Didn't say best)

Sad to see Federer on the down swing. 31 and his back is giving out...

Honestly all you people dogging on Federer, should stop. It's sad that someone who is only 31 has back problems, especially someone who has done so much for the game. :/. There is going to be a big gap once he leaves. Really sad.

I'm not trying to be a downer, but I think this marks the decline of Fed from competing with Top 4 (excluding Ferrer). Back problems don't fix themselves

Damn.

* Slams Do Not Exist!

Lenders: One thing people need to understand about this so-called weak era is that it was 'weak' for Federer on HC and grass and for Nadal on clay (Federer on clay too Nadal apart) because they were so much better than anyone else, for any outsider the era couldn't possibly be any harder, during 5+ years you had to either beat the best grass/HC player ever or the best clay player ever in every single Slam just to get 1 Slam title.

Hopefully 2 months off will rejuvenate his health and he can come back strong.
I think it was not a wise decision to play rotterdam and dubai, he should've skipped both. Now he's paying the consequences.

Anyway, he would've lost to Nadal.

Mentally he already lost the match from the locker room. His body language on court speaks for itself, especially when approaching to the net.

I never understood Annacone's role, it's obvious he should give Federer a different game plan for this kind of match-ups.

It's time to get a different coach.

Why do some Federer fans complain about Nadal having injury, saying him and his fans should not use it as an excuse, but when Roger loses, some of his fans blame it on his back?

One rule for Federer, another rule for Nadal?

Double standards. Get used to it, almost all do it. It's just that Federesians are the biggest and most vocal group on here

You pretty much answered your own question. Fed fans are made up of different people with differing opinions who will say different things, yet you are treating them all as one self-contradicting entity.

I said some, NOT ALL. Big difference.

What should I say other than what I think ?

I agreed with you that it was pejorative because it didn't carry a positive feeling in my mind, that's what I meant.

But I never agreed that it was an "insult", as you feel so sure it is

I never ever made a mystery that I don't like Nadal, but I still 100% respect him, especially in his human components. I've always 100% taken on my subjectivity about Nadal.

Many people (Yolita for instance) say things that they feel about Federer and which I don't like to read, should I shut them up for saying what they think ? I don't like their thought but I respect their sincerity.

I don't know : I don't like when people call Federer a God either : it's not the way I perceive him

Once again I just say what I think, and I said that in my mind, it was pejorative.

But are all things supposed to be divided between good and bad ? black and white ? Is life so simple ?

It seems to me that you are very sure of yourself. I'm not.

Who's trying to shut you up? Oh my god. You write the longest posts and no one ever censors them so you can hardly complain about being "shut up." Pejorative means expressing contempt or disapproval. It,s not so much better than an insult. And I'm sorry, you can insult someone without intention. To insult means to speak or treat someone disrespectfully or scornfully.

I don't care that you insult Nadal. I j ust want to call it as it is, You think he is a freak and not human. Good to know,
