Interesting. I wonder if Cinci still does the main stadium seat gets you into everything. How are you this fine morning ladies with one hour less? I totally forgot the spring forward routine.

I hate it. I always have. I don't care about this business of longer light at the end of the day. We have quite enough, and you must stay light until 10 p.m.

Lee doesn't have to suffer through it because Arizona doesn't observe dst.

I am with you Star- which is why I forgot about it. Course it would have been nice had someone who shall remain nameless ( ie hubs) reminded me
Are you enjoying IW? Always wanted to try and attend but never made it.

You change time before we do here in Europe. Why is that? I am not complaining though, it's one hour closer to IW this week.

Can't tell you why at this time of the year. Only means it doesn't get dark until 6 or 7 pm here in Maine. Personally I prefer the light in the morning as I am heading to work

My impression is Indian Wells/Palm Spring/Palm Desert to Los Angelers is like Hamptons to New Yorker. And golf is the main year round entertainment. During the two weeks of tennis, there are many activities going on in the valley too. But on a whole, the Coachella Valley is a farming community.

Anyway, it's only an hour and a half drive from the noises and activities in LA provided no traffic jam

Quite honestly, what do you want to do after arriving at 10 a.m. and not getting back home until well after 10 p.m.? And that's not even as late as it would be if you stayed through the night matches. The night of the famous Nadal/Nalby match we didn't leave the grounds until 2:30 a.m.

But anyway, there are a lot of restaurants, high-end shopping, movies, and in Palm Springs there are clubs and strippers etc. mainly serving the off duty military from ten thousand palms and also plenty of gay night life too,

Well for me my attendence was also vacation away from my usually crazy life. Tennis for me at a tournie ends at dinnertime which is heading out somewhere nice for dinner. My aches and pains won't let me sit in the stands all day

I added to my post.

I thank the stars for the nights I don't care about the matches and can get home earlier, Fortunately the seats at iw are pretty comfortable, I have a bad back and a broken tailbone, and manage pretty well in those seats. They used to have folding chairs on the outer courts, and those killed my back. Those have all been replaced with good seating. It's a little sad to see all the "improvements" and I have nostalgia for the more homemade feeling of the old days, but it's a,k good, Some of the old timers remember the days they sat and picnicked on the grass as they watched Stefan Edberg.

Of course.

I feel he is in better shape this year than he was last year. I expect him to do better.

I will be sleeping but dreaming about the match and you watching from the stands.

How about wildegirl? Not going this year?
