Im 6'2" i pretty much play from the baseline i have a good serve and hard forehand and i have a slice backhand.Some guy is selling me is pure drive plus 2012 that he bought last summer for only 70$ its like new he only played 10 games with it.So i just wanted to know if any of you guys ever tried this racquet and do you think it would be good for my style of play? thanks

Hi, i have tried the Babolat Pure Drive Roddick GT Plus last year. It's a great racquet, it doesn't generate so much power but you have very good ball control even thought it's a 16 x 19 string pattern. Also it has a great spin potential. Very good racquet. It would be better to take it for a try before you buy it , maybe that will help you decide.

Thanks for the reply i have been waiting almost a week for somebody to answer lol I finally bought,i said for 70$ i have nothing to lose its in perfect condition,im trying it this afternoon so hopefully im going to like it.

P.S.The guy that sold it to me said he stringed it at 57,what was your racquet stringed at? and did it give you any arm problem like others are saying?

Hi, as i remember it was strung at 54 mains and 51 crosses. I don't remember exactly the string , but it was some co-poly string.

You will have to give it some time to like it. You can't change the racquet and like it from the very first game you play.

I only had it for about 4 games so it didn't give me any elbow problems. I know Babolat frames are stiffer that Wilson or Head, but the arm problems usually appear because of the string type and the tension you string it. The higher the tension, the bigger the chances of arm pain.

If you feel pain in the arm you can decrease the tension of the string, or you can go for a multifilament string, which is more arm friendly than nylon, poly or co-poly strings.
