Thanks duong. I am now officially angry and I wish there was a way to know this crap before it actually happens.

Amazing work as usual! Thanks a lot!

Could you do a Over-30 list as well, maybe? It's quite a milestone when someone turns from 29 to 30, so it might be interesting to have a list for that as well.

Sure. But it would make the O32 list too close to it, age-wise. Maybe that would need to be increased to O33 or O34 (I incline to making it O34 if we do the O30).

After a calculation I have determined that the average age of the former number 1 players that retired is 32.71. Thus, I have decided to leave only O32 (not do any O30, or O34), being all players that have passed or reached the average retirement age and keep playing tennis.

There, now O32 has a bigger significance in the age groups.

I see your reasoning however I would just lobby for an Over-30 group. Average retirement might be 32, but decline usually sets in earlier. Also 30 is a nice, round number

yes, as much as I'm much more interested in players "above 20" than in babies of 16 years old, I'm also more interested in the way players manage with age decline than with the way some keep on playing when they should be retired

Besides, in the "over 30" section the "over 32" are included, and considering that Slasher usually displays us long lists

I am considering limiting the age group lists to a maximum of 100 players, in which case, I think we can pull off O30 as well. But that would be the last age group list mustered.

And this is now operational. Thanks for suggestions and feedback.

If this was the only reason to create this age group, I'd be more than happy to eliminate it again.

This thread is too quiet.

Nadal is now ahead of Federer in the Race.

Even with Nadals results so far, his chances for the 4th seed at RG are not too high(but probably better than what we thought initially). Although Ferrer is only 525 points ahead of Rafa, he defends only 770 points going into RG whereas Rafa defends 2710 points.

There is no chance Rafa will be seeded 4th at RG but honestly I don't care

I do think Nadal will be able to defend last year's without any problems. Fact is though, that he must do better if Ferrer does better. Ferrer is also 510 points ahead of Nadal in the race. But that is due to pre-AO, DC and AO. At post-AO, Nadal gained 900, while Ferrer only 550.
