Default Outside of the top 10, who would be your favourite for a ATP 1000 title?

If he is playing at his peak like we saw against Nole at the AO this year, Stan the fucking Man.

Raonic or Almagro.

Wawrinka at his best is better than all of the others outside of the top 10 currently. Doesn't happen often enough though.

I would go for Wawrinka, he is capable of playing incredibly great tennis.
Also Janowicz, if he is really on fire and mentally tough for a time long enough. And I m not picking him just because he made the final in Paris.

For me it's sick that player like Stakhovsky has more titles then Wawrinka.

If Nadal is truly back in form & Fed doesn't fall off too much, the odds of this happening this year are pretty low (< 5%). (Even outside of top-4 it is pretty low ... Delpo maybe). But that wasn't the question. Outside top-10 IMHO (in order of probability):

1. a healthy Nishikori (unfortunately, maybe an oxymoron :-( )
2. Raonic IF he keeps improving his ROS (has improved from terrible to decent & sometimes dangerous) AND IF he gets some consistency.
3. Wawrinka
4. Isner (assuming he gets healthy & back in form and on a fast HC .. maybe Montreal .. when the big guns are just coming back from summer vacation)
5. Cilic
6. McEnroe (just to clarify, John, not Patrick)

Now next year, Raonic is going to win at least one ... you can book it :-)

Raonic will never win anything of significance. The guy will only have a few more years at the top. I use the term 'top' loosely when discussing the Montenegro man because his game is disgusting. If he ever was to dominate, which he won't, then they will have to change the rules to one serve - or outlaw servebots. Guys like Milos will kill the game for supporters with a passing/fleeting interest in the sport - if he becomes remotely successful.
