The TT Board welcomes ibreak4coffee and Mahqz
The TT Board has decided that it is time to fully replace Labamba (Ville). First of all, we’d all like to thank him for his contribution to the game. , also we’d like to thank Ruben (rvugt) for his temporary contribution over the last few months.
So now we need to choose a new board member. The method of selection will be the same as before. There will be no polls as this is not a popularity contest. If you think you've got something to offer, send your application. It doesn't matter if you're a veteran or a newcomer, or whether you're high or low ranked, all applications will be considered.
Applications must be sent to each board member (Boarder35m, Marto, keqtqiadv & AdeyC) via PM. The format of the application is up to you. Add anything you consider relevant (personal introduction, what TT means to you, reasons for wanting to joining the board etc).
Deadline = Friday March 22nd - 6 PM
Announcement intended to be made on Sunday March 31st

Re: TT Board Vacancy
Ville
An absolute legend of the game and one of the most influential figures in shaping the way TT has developed to where it stands today. He had a great vision of how the game should progress right from the very start. Thank you

Re: TT Board Vacancy
Thanks Ville for the hard work you put in over the years
This is probably irrelevant but I just would say that I'd support rvugt if he does choose to apply. He was an interim board member anyway and he's been fairly active on the TT Circuit

Wow, can't believe the day has come that he is gone from here. I guess we are all growing up and moving on.

Re: TT Board Vacancy
I was just looking and for me the ironic thing is that the very first time I started participating and I asked if I could have a go and try out managing it was Labamba who said yes.

Re: TT Board Vacancy
What's the point of having TWO managers for ONE tournament??
TT is getting more stupid every year... now managers do not exchange picks??
What a bunch of prima donnas
The TT board is pathetic for letting this happen. No common sense at all...
Why did the doubles manager send me a pm saying "please put single or doubles in the title!" if they arent going to accept them?
What is this? My picks aren't taken for singles.. then the manager spams me asking for a title? What's the point of this?
This is ridiculous.. The game needs to hold for election of new TT Board Members because the current ones have been screwing the game lately.
It lost it's soul and the the managers have too much power.
Tournaments with TWO managers is insane.. and not accepting picks even though one of the managers got the picks and the other didn't is insane.
Plus.. managers being allowed to set a specific deadline just because is also illogical.
Managers are ruining this game.. and let me all remind you.. in case anyone want to bash me.. (im up for any kind of discussion though).. that I was once manager of the year and held a record of most tournaments managed during a year.. so I do know how to do this stuff...
I think this needs to be discussed so im posting the same comment in the TT section "TT Board Vacancy"...

Re: TT Board Vacancy
*A Board Member should be held to elections once in a while.. but could be re-elected
*The Managers are getting too much power and it is getting out of control
*Managers should suck it up more in the spirit of the GAME and not be bigger than the Game. If TWO managers manage ONE tournament.. they should exchange picks among themselves. Also, it is ok to post picks differences later ... so no need ever to a different deadline. Also.. asking to get picks forward hadn't harmed anyone...
*The spirit of the game is to play and predict.. not to follow bizarre rules of guys who happen to provide a service for the game.
*Board Members should guard the spirit of the game.. and take their faces out of manager's cheeks...
*Elections should be held once in a while .. maybe in a rate of 2/5 every 2 years... and candidates should post their hopes, visions and improvements of the game... so as to give new ideas.. and also players having the chance to actually decide what's best for them and not having guys installed for years and years making crappy decisions forever until they get tired and retire...
Just some ideas

Re: TT Board Vacancy
I had managed tens of tournaments.. and I have saved tournaments from managers dissappearing... or last minute.. I even managed two tournaments in a single week back in my day.. and you know what?
I did it for the Game... Now managers are getting too much power and it is annoying the players. Cos it is also unfair...
Managers do make mistakes. Yet there are no rules banning them from playing tournaments if they screw up in the tournaments they manage.
So this needs to change as well... If players are going to be penalized for mistakes and not being let to play, then managers should be penalized for mistakes. The current rules are too harsh on players. It wasn't like this before. It is now.
You are killing the spirit of the game. Esp since the manager from Miami is even suggesting I need to send my picks with a title they want me to.. now "TT" is not enough.. Managers even ask for you to write whatever they feel like (even though they only manage now part of the draw)... What's next? Getting disqualified for not picking on the right title a manager wants you to put?

Re: TT Board Vacancy
On Topic:
Those who will apply for becoming a Board Member.... List the things you want to add to the game publicly too.. and what do you think will improve/what needs to change..
Otherwise it is just a popularity contest
