Europe/Africa Group II 2nd Round: Lithuania at Portugal (April 5-7, 2013)

Europe Group II 2nd Round
Date: 05 Apr - 07 Apr 2013
Venue: CIF, Lisboa, Portugal
Start times:
Day 1: 1100 hrs (1000 hrs GMT)
Day 2: 1400 hrs (1300 hrs GMT)
Day 3: 1100 hrs (1000 hrs GMT)
Surface: Clay
Was announced today the surface and the place where will be this tie. Was everyone expected, it'll be played on clay and on CIF, Lisboa, just like in the last tie. But one big difference: against Benin was indoor and this time will be in clay courts outdoor.
Portugal is the obvious favourite for this tie. Our doubles team is becoming better and we hope that Gastão Elias can be here, can be important. And we need Rui Machado and Frederico Gil close to his best. Berankins is the biggest danger for our nation.

Hope to go see this match live. Just 2 days before the tie, I will arrive to Portugal back from... Lithuania. I dont think the captain will call Gastao, unfortunally. Rui and Fred are not in a goof form, but Grigelis is in terrible shape too, specially coming from a injury. They depend on a great perfomance of Ricka, and then hoping to have some luck in doubles.

they wont need luck in doubles, grigelis is good in doubles and he still has 1,5 month till this tie.

We have also one player who just came back from injury and is a former top 100 in doubles, Leo Tavares. Also, Gil has already an ATP tittle in doubles, in Vina del Mar, last year. So yes, I think Lietuva needs luck in doubles.
Anyway, I dont know who I am talking too, since you are banned

I wouldn't be sure that Berankis (and Grigelis) will come to Portugal...

Do you have any sources? Would be real pitty and probably I wont even go if Ricka doesnt show up...
So if they wont, we can even put our juniors and still won the tie easily, as Mugevicius your 3rd best player, is still worst than top 10 world junior Frederico Silva and top 900 teen André Murta

Wow! Better team than I expected. Only Gil is missing. So glad to see Gastao back. I thought they wouldn't call him. Either he apologized or the Federation change their mind and realize how important is Elias for our team. Lietuva won't have much of a chance. Vamos Portugal!!!

Lithuania will play with 3 Juniors against Portugal, just one ranked player. This will be really easy for us....

And actually their best player of the team is one of the juniors (Mugevicius)
This Portugal team, at home, on clay, can beat basically even everyone of Group I, let alone THIS weak Lithuania. I will be shocked if someone even drops a set vs. one of the baltic players. I was thinking of going to Lisbon for this, but now it is pretty useless, IMO
