Default Re: Week 9: Salinas (Entry List)

Campozano def. Diego Hidalgo 7-6(3) 3-0 ret.

Hidalgo took MTO, was struggling physically, probably could finish the match but played approach shot and with both players near the net decided to retire (right leg injury)
Campozano was very motivated, fistpumped a lot, was clearly the better player but couldn't take advantage of it at the beginning.

LOL! Dutra Silva just pulled a Nalbandian and loses 10 straight games after winning the 1st set. 6-2 0-6 0-4.

What is Bagnis doing? 11 service games, broken in 6 of them?

Too bad for Bagnis he couldn't get another win after the nice result against Thiemo... this player had so many close losts, it's unbelievable the number of matchs he could've won with a better mental I guess

i can imagine redfoo doing the same at some point of his life, combining with lmfao concerts

QF: Gonzalez def. Kovalik 4-6 6-4 7-5

Epic mugathon with both players dead tired towards the end. Kovalik was up a break in both 2nd and 3rd set. Gonzalez took MTO at *6-5 40-40 in the decider, right foot injury that looked quite serious.

Gonzalez enters TOP 200 on Monday (career-high)

Good nerves by Gonzalez. After he came out from the MTO he DF'd and looked to be in trouble but he kept his composure to hold.

Should be Souza's tourney now

cool, kovalik had more power (he improved in this department since i saw him in 2011) but gonzalez had more brains and nerves

not to mention kovalik cant volley

i still wouldnt rule the slovak out, his 2nd challenger qf, only 20 yo, seems to be getting better gradually
