I guess Affleck missing out on a nomination means there is a lot of goodwill toward the film now.

Re: movie stuff
I would love to see either Life of Pi or ZDT for BP, but it looks like Argo has the momentum and it would be a deserving winner. The Affleck and Bigelow snubs are incomprehensible, especially after seeing Lincoln and BOTSW. From the nominees, Lee is the most deserving.
But... Will be seeing Silver Lining Playbook this week, so this is tentative.
My question is how much of a factor will Amour be. Will the old dudes of the Academy be touched by this story enough to stir things up?

Re: movie stuff
John we all know the academy members and they love epic movies esp historical ones so its safe to say they will give Oscar to Lincoln.
Still haven't had the chance to see either of them but I will this week.

Re: movie stuff
It looks like DDL will win a record breaking 3rd Academy Award for Best Actor soon.

Re: movie stuff
I swear Tarantino is one sick bastard. He has a thing for blood, should have chosen med school instead the.
But Django, if you remove the excessive and absurd violence, is one hell of a movie. I loved it minus the brutality. I mean, yes a movie like that has to be violet. Bit to some extent only. The blood pool in the end was ridiculous. Get help, man.
But I loved the movie. And if you're going to make a violet movie, at least make a good one. And he did. This is 3 times better than Inglorious Bastards which to me was a disappointment.
And Christoph Waltz. Without him the movie wouldn't be half as good, IMO.

I was disappointed Waltz wasn't nominated for a SAG.

Re: movie stuff
'Spirited Away'. Definitely one of my favourite ever films. Every time I watch it, I'm put in a good mood by the end of it. Miyazaki is a genius, so it's no surprise.

Because his Superman film wasn't very successful. Now it's being polished and repackaged.

Yup..... rebooting Has to be the worst trend of recent Hollywood. Worse than cash grabbing sequels, comic book movies and remakes.
