Everybody remembers Sampras, the greatest tennis player of all time.
People remember McEnroe and Borg because both were/are drug-addicted playboys.

Re: Biggest tennis star in last 40 Years
Federer and it's not close. One of the most recognized sportsmen ever at this point.

The only advantage in technical terms to Federer is the forehand. Sampras served better, volleyed better, sliced better and had a way more stable backhand. Most complete game? Guy can't hit two backhands in a row without framing a shot.
Sampras played on real slow clay courts, against real clay experts, not the clay clowns of today Almagro, Ferrer, etc. Still, he managed to make a slam SF and win Rome.
Most importantly, Sampras never lost a Wimbledon final to a claycourter who can't volley, can't slice and can't serve - and an ultimate pusher/grinder.
Sampras never lost his composure and never used his name to kill a surface.

The only valid points in that post are that Samras had a better serve (well at least 2nd serve) and volleys (although Fed's would probably be as good if serve & volley was a legit strategy on today's courts). But you're old school delusional thinking Sampras had a better backhand (or overall competition) than Federer, so I won't waste any more time discussing with you.

You just don't have arguments.
Sampras was a more complete player than Federer.

Neither do you, so. As I said, I don't argue with fanboys.

But no one thinks that you know.
I for one do not think Roger is the best at everything, but I do agree with Jason Goodall:
"Surely the most talented individual, the most well-rounded player ever to play this game."
