If Benno doesn't win the whole thing now, he is without a doubt, the best player ever to have never won a title.

He's had easier paths. He isn't winning this title unfortunately.

(Safin's infamous racket breaks, Haas's tendency to have conversations berating himself on live television, and Nalbandian physically assaulting line judges

Federer's peak is supposedly in 2004-2007, but his best grass match was WI 2009 final, his best hard court match was WTF 2010 final, and his best clay match was RG 2011 SF

34 year old Agassi took peak Federer to 5 sets at U.S Open but any problem cannot be found? GOAT argument
20 y.o. Djokovic straight setted prime Federer at Aus. Open but any problem cannot be found? GOAT argument

you simply have no idea -- when he is signing autographs for fans as they are handing him things to sign they say stuff like: "Roger, I came all the way from Turkey/ Taiwan/ Sweden/etc to see you play" "Roger, I saved up for 5 years to come watch you play" etc. He hears that stuff all the time; it's not a surprise that it works its way into his subconscious.

Benne has a good backhand(to target Fed's) an good agressive returns returns, decent defense(especially for his age). A little bit like Murray, except Jules attacks the net a lot more and doesn't serve or defend as wel as Muzz.

Only cares about GS, he won Rotterdam last year which gave him the points to overtake Djokovic at number one. So he cares about everything he plays, not just GS, when is the last time he lost to a player of this calibre? This is the beginning of the end for him, I won't be surprised if he retires this year.

As I said, losses like this will become more frequent the further Federer goes into the twilight zone. More guys who wouldn't touch him in his prime will beat him.

He doesn't have the ground game, consistency or movement he once had- hence while these matches will seem like off days, they'll start to become more frequent.

I do hot know why Fed went to play this tournament when he did not look as a player who wants to win or to be there at all ? The final is on sunday and Fed is going to fly to Dubai tomorrow
and then to SA, So he was not commited to play this tournament at all or Fed just did help TD to sell tickets and make a profit,

Yes. Look, it's working. Another ticket sold just cause Fed was there.
