Re: Frank Dancevic
I thought this match might be tough considering Rhyne's form coming into it, sad to see Frank lose it even so.

Re: Frank Dancevic
Thought he might maintain that streak a little longer, but in the end Dancevic can't help being Dancevic.

Re: Frank Dancevic
I don't think he'll dip in form though, and continue to get to quarters and semis in Challengers at least. Hopefully he'll manage his schedule well and get rest in places, like this week, cause his biggest enemy is injury. I'd love to see him get to where Jesse is and DE into ATP 250s and of course Grand Slams.

Re: Frank Dancevic
Frank out of Memphis Q. Probably just because he didn't seem to make the cut anyway.
At least I hope it's not an injury.

Re: Frank Dancevic
Frank got a tougher draw, will face Berankis in qualifying round. Frank wants to get in the rankings where Berankis is (No. 85) - hopefully he kick on with his solid play of late.
Second round no sinch either - either his old nemisis Reynolds or the lefty serve and volleying Zverev.

Re: Frank Dancevic
He wasn't lucky here, but this is actually a pretty rough qualy draw. A lot of good challenger/weak ATP players all across.
Berankis has great groundies, but that second serve of his (whom he usually has to hit a lot of) is very attackable. Broke right away and leads *21 in his opener.

Re: Frank Dancevic
Routine 64 63 win for Frank. Won all three of his breakpoints, and saved the only one he faced himself.
Probably Zverev tomorrow. I think he has decent matchup there, as his backhand return is so damn good.

Re: Frank Dancevic
Zverev retired, that's why. Frank should easily knock off Reynolds, given the two players' current form. Berankis will be tough, but Frank has been attacking weak second serves really well lately - hope he keeps it up.

Re: Frank Dancevic
Reason why I did notice the retirement was cause I was shocked Zverev would fall to Reynolds, again given recent form. Zverev's younger brother Sasha is a future World No. 1, btw.
Match about to start - c'mon Franky!

Re: Frank Dancevic
Frank seemingly outplayed in the first set, but looks better in the second. Gets a breakpoint at 10*, then four more at 21*, and 2 more at 43*. Fails to take any of them and gets broken to love at *55. Vintage Frank.
36 57.

Re: Frank Dancevic
Man, the old Frank is back. Lost all the big points: faced two break points and got broken, had 7 break points and couldn't convert any, and lost the last two games of the match at love.
