Re: Who is the most universally loved tennis play on this site?
I think Del Potro. There is a lot of talk about his talent, whether USO was a fluke or not and if he is overrated. I, for one, think he is immensely overrated, but I love the guy. He is truly nice, and I think that's the general feeling on MTF.

Players like Seppi and Giraldo seem to be pretty neutral too, specially Andreas. who dislikes them?
Delpo is a very good name to throw in there out of the top players, few haters bar some Nadal 'ultra-fanboys' from what i've seen.

Really? Who/where are they? Tsonga threads rarely descend into hate fests, if ever. For what it's worth, he's also currently second in the MTF favorite players poll just behind Federer and slightly ahead of Delpo and Nole, seems to me that a lot of people like him and few hate him.

Del Potro has quite a few pathetic haters though. Although truth be told the main criticism from those haters is that he 'only' won one Slam despite being only 24 and having endured surgery, so I guess in reality they rate him higher than even most Delpo fans, so not really sure they should be called haters

He didn't mean that everyone who dislikes Ferrer is a huge mug, it was just a poor dig at me.

There are sure people who dislike his game but there's really nothing negative to say about him as a person, and what I gather he is considered one of the nicest guys on tour by his fellow pro players.
And yes, sadly not many fans posting in his forum but there are still fans.

I dislike them both. I only pretend to like Seppi when I'm trying to get into Mateya's panties.

I think all the Fedtards and Noletards hate him now.
Is his interview thread still open?
I think Guga Kuerten is universally liked here too.

You take the points every player got in last years ´most favourite active player´ thread, you subtract the points they got in the ´most disliked active players´ thread and whoever has the most points is the most universally loved tennis player on this site.

Well, that's not going to work from now on huh?
As a fan of clay tennis, and seeing some of the names you support (a lot of them who I support too), how can you dislike fit Giraldo's epic ballbashing on the surface?

you do realize that "Clownga" is not a term of endearment?

nah, not all
To tell you the truth I'm more concerned that Jerzy will turn into a Safin/Gulbis type who will squander his talent by being more interested in clubbing/being famous, etc., and have a mediocre career than I am interested in whether he likes Roger or not.

Yeah, but a lot of the people calling him that do it in frustration rather than hate. Even Tsonga fans (myself included) have done that on occasion, don't see the big deal. I certainly can't remember any Tsonga thread where there was more than one or two people systematically bashing him making it become a hate fest.
