Re: Ben Mitchell's Banana Party
I must confess I had a very quiet NYE and found myself watching this match last night and I wasn't even drunk. It was good to see Ben play so well but he needs to make sure he replicates these sort of efforts in the Challengers. He was unlucky with the timing of the injury in the second set.

Re: Ben Mitchell's Banana Party
Mitchell's tennis really looked impressive in that match. He moved very well and had good court awareness, good shot selection and cranked his serve. Should carry him a lot further in his career.

Re: Ben Mitchell's Banana Party
AO Round 1:
(WC) Mitchell Vs (WC) Duckworth
I think Duckworth will go in favorite. But Ben can win this match.

Re: Ben Mitchell's Banana Party
I don't think it's that bad. Suk-Young Jeong may be young but doesn't suck.

MSR2: [4] James Duckworth (NSW) d Ben Mitchell (QLD) 6-0 6-1 Melbourne Park International. https://twitter.com/oztennisresults
Ah, I posted this here instead of in the JD cheering thread as the scoreline suggests that something is physically wrong with Ben. Either that or he is mentally scarred from his Australian Open loss.

Reason: misspelled scarred

Re: Ben Mitchell's Banana Party
his results haven't been too flash since the Aussie Open, hopefully he gets over this little slump soon because he was starting to play well before the open

I am not sure of the details but I know he has an injured hand. Several times through his match with Duckworth he needed the trainer.
