Rotterdam R1: Klizan def. Mathieu 6-4 3-6 7-5
Hopefully this will give Klizan some confidence and turn his slump around, he came back from being 2-4* down in the third set. Next round against Tsonga most probably.

Awesome tough win for Klizan, he's 1-0 vs. Tsonga, but I think this is a different Tsonga than who was at the USO.

Paulo had some physical problems last week, he didn't expect much of this tournament which he thought of skipping.
Was near yet

Re: Rotterdam R1: Klizan def. Mathieu 6-4 3-6 7-5
Unexpected.
Strugggling Klizan was 2-4 down in the final set and everything looked clear. Mathieu lost his serve out of nowhere at 4*-3 (30-0), then didn´t convert a BP at 4-4 and then managed to lose his serve again at 5*-6 (40-15). What a choke by PHM. Good win for Klizan, he really needs to find his confidence.

it seems to be a different Klizan too
Tsonga didn't feel good at all that day, finger problem, heat and so on, and the surface here is better for Tsonga.

it seems that Klizan doesn't play well but he managed to win a few close matches, yes it's always good for the confidence in the long run.

Klizan may have just turned a corner and could be back in near USO form again.
Klizan had to deal with the heat too, the finger problem was all if not gone by then, it was more Klizan playing better on the bigger points than Tsonga, and Tsonga having a mental meltdown.

I agree that he isn´t playing well. Yeah, he finally managed to win close matches vs Viola and now this vs Mathieu, but he had bigger number of close losses (Brands, Malisse, Haase, Seppi etc.). Still not convincing, next round will tell us more.

I just said what Tsonga himself said about that match one month ago that he didn't feel good at all physically that day (he didn't really say that right after the match).
As for the heat, Tsonga sometimes has a peculiar problem with it, it happened to him several times.

Hehe, right, everyone has to play in the heat, it's no excuse, especially for a top 10 player.
