James Ward (GBR) vs (SE)Matthew Barton (AUS)
I watched the first set of Barton and Ward´s matches.
Barton was too much for Lobkov on that first set. Barton is a quite more aggresive player but too unstable too and tends to make many unforce mistakes. Lobkov doesn´t have any real weapons and his defensive game (especially over his forehand) is quite poor. According to what I watched Barton seems to be that sort of players that depends of his ups and downs.
Ward vs Kyrgios. It was the first time I watched Kyrgios and I am really impressed overall with his game. He has a fantastic two handed backhand with great wrist work on it which helps him to make it difficult to read what he is going to do. His forehand is aggresive enough but needs to work a bit more on his defensive game over it. His serve is pretty good. His aggresive game is really good overall and needs to work more on his defensive and mainly his tactic game but is just a matter of time. Kyrgios has a big big potential so with a financial support, good coaching and a right schedule can jump quite fast on the CH tour competition.
Ward is having a fantastic week and if he keeps SF level he shouldn´t have troubles to win the final today.
