Interview in l'equipe the writed version to help you to translate

Quote:

On sait pourquoi on joue.

VINCENT COGNET

Google is not so clever One word means so many things in our language. He doesn't want Gilles gets more injured during DC actually.

In Le Parisien today a portrait of the new captain. Well nothing special his friends from Country Club and Bruno explain that he alwayw love team matches and now have take again a license in AIx and come to play with -30 sometime with enqvist

They also speak about the possible challenger in Aix and it could be in 2014 around MC. Nothing is decided yet, have to wait ATP and local decisions. Arno could be the director if this happens.

Seriously, when I saw your message, I thought you had found again a very old video!
12 years later, he has not changed of movie, he even says he still loves the movie. His gf lives in Montmartre, I guess he's happy to live there half of his time.
But they didn't ask him about his favorite singer, that's the only thing which has changed ! lol

ps: one video/question, they're a bit ridiculeous !!

i think i would pick an older movie too, because it's hard to describe myself with a new movie, i have to grow with it over the years, to feel that it's 'me'.

Merci Soulage.
I'm not sure to understand...what does he supposed to do in Open 13 ? I mean, he has a role in the organisation or he's just the guest of the director ?

Wow, 2 questions in the same video (portrait chinois), they're so good ! I like his way of hesitating before saying the name of the singer... he never prononces her name so it was a big effort. Very nice song anyway. And yes Arnaud, it's better not to sing it, "not a good promo!" lol
As for Montreal, I think he already said a few years ago it was one of his favorite cities/tournaments.
I agree again, nice city !!

He's the guest of Caujolle since he's the player the more emblematic of the 20 years. Then he was also the guest for the education program.

I think he doesn't understand the Portrait Chinois because he seems to answer his favourite colour, city and not what is the most representativ of himself. Then yes no surprises the owl, Montreal nothing new he's faithful in his tastes

During Monte Carlo Arno made an interview for the italian website ubitennis http://www.ubitennis.com/sport/tenni...to_simon.shtml

Talks a bit of what's happened in argentina no regrets on Gilles choice, don't say no to be one day coach. Google translate job here

Quote:
During the Monte-Carlo Rolex Masters, we had the opportunity to interview the captain of the French Davis Cup team, Arnaud Clément. The tennis player of Aix-en-Provence and former no. 10 in the world, we talked about how he made the transition from professional player to coach of the team of France, and the meaning it has for him the Open 13 in Marseille and his new experience in television commentator. All with the discretion and the smile that distinguish it.
She is the captain of the French Davis Cup team. As we live the transition from player to captain? How do you prepare to take on new responsibilities and what are the changes in her daily life of tennis player?

The transition went very well indeed. At first, the big change is in the rhythm. You travel a lot less, then the responsibilities are not the same. Before you are responsible only to themselves, while being captain of the team involves getting the French to follow the other players, you have to make decisions that affect the whole group and have an influence on many things. Here, it is not the same thing, there is a greater reflection, especially when you have to make a decision.
As captain, she happens to Guy Forget. What 's the "legacy" who passed on?
I really have two illustrious predecessors, Guy Forget and Yannick Noah. I was lucky enough to inherit an extremely healthy, with a good foundation, but that is quite simple, with players who have a passion for Davis Cup. But it is up to me to make a small contribution. Sure, maybe there will be some changes made to the personality of the captain, but no revolution, since the system is already very well set up.
In Argentina, unfortunately, did not go well with regard to the results. Do you regret the strategic choices such as, for example, you have selected Gilles Simon?
No, no, I have no regrets on the strategic plan. Then it is always easy to say that we lost because we took certain decisions, or ask if we would not have won if we had acted in a different way. The question is legitimate, but if I made this decision, it was because I was convinced that at that time it was the best choice and I still think so.
The French team is known, among other things, for the solidarity between the players. But, after the episode that pitted Michaël Llodra to Benoit Paire in Miami, thinks that the consensus team has been weakened? Considers that it should play a role of mediator to restore the spirit of camaraderie among the players, although for now, Paire is not part of the team?
It is an interesting question because Benoît Paire is one of the hopes of the French court, and probably next year or the next, could form part of the French Davis Cup team and play. It is an unfortunate episode, I think there was a bit 'of misunderstanding and rash. I find it hard to believe that these two guys that got along before that match, not ever again will turn the word. I hope it will be resolved and, in any case, I will work for it.
Let's talk a bit 'of tennis femmminile. What do you think of the choices of Marion Bartoli, in recent months, has changed hands several times and coach does not seem to be able to make a final decision?
It's something a bit 'delicate because they are not aware of how you play it and what are the criteria in its choice of the coach. It is certainly a point in his career where he tries to do different things, it is legitimate and it is interesting that there is this research, then, if you decide to continue with his father or with someone else, it will be his choice and maybe that will be the right. The time now is mature enough to know what is best for her and for the future of his career.
Think of one day becoming the coach of a player and, if so, which player would you like to train?
We'll see later. I became captain recently and it is only my first season, I do not know for how long and will cover this role, also depend on the will of the players and the federation. But why not? In any case, now or in the near future. But maybe I could be interested in coaching. However, I do not think you would want to train only a certain type of player rather than another, you can have the feeling of being brought to this and, of course, can be exciting train the best players in the world but it can be just as challenging to train a young tennis, follow him and watch his progress with each passing month. So I do not exclude that in the future could happen but, with regard to the profile of the player, will depend on circumstances that will occur and if it will affect me.
During the Open 13 in February, I asked Jean-François Caujolle what was the tennis player most representative of the 20 years of the tournament and he told me it was her. It is acknowledged in his judgment?
If that player was me, it's hard to say. It is true that I have participated in 15 editions of 20. Are of Aix-en-Provence, near Marseille and I was lucky enough to win my first match of the circuit in Marseille, disputarvi of my first final in 1999 and then, in the end, to win the tournament. I won a few tournaments in my career but the fact that he won the Open 13 was a very significant moment for me as well as for the people of the region that I attended during my youth and my career and have followed my evolution. But it's really nice what he said, because several players have won the tournament more than once. Well, I think he said (Caujolle) this mainly because they are native to the region of Marseille.
These days, in Monte Carlo, is working as a consultant for a TV channel or is simply following the match of the French players involved in the tournament?
I do a little 'commentary for France Television. It is the first time for me.
How is it?
It's a very nice thing, they are in good company and I get great advice from Lionel Chamuolaud. Yes, it is a very nice. Also, I take this opportunity to follow a little 'French players, take a look at their performance, and some have gone so well but others are fine.
