No part-time job as mailman/store employee/waiter available in Manchester?. If so, major bummer.

Indeed, I understand that I'm in a privileged position, and am fortunate to be able to go away as much as I do.
All the best with the job hunting, Joe.

Everyone wants these jobs so they are difficult to get.

Depends. I have traveled a lot in Europe especially when I was living in Budapest.
Last time I took a trip abroad was to Sain, for a week with a friend, and before that was Madrid Masters last May.
But I make small trips around my beautiful country often. And right now I am saving up for a big trip, so I have to cut down on extended weekends away in the likes of Amsterdam, Munich etc...
My next trip is probably the Camino de Santiago

Tough luck there mate. What education do you follow? There tend to be quite a few positions as assistent to professors available, at least it´s like that over here, so perhaps you could apply for such a position.

I don't have a job either. I just save money. As much as I can to travel. I don't have any addictions, I don't love shopping like most women do, don't go out at night and spend 20€ on alcohol in a night and I save a lot of money by eating at my grandparent's in Coimbra.
That is my trick.

Not spending 20 euros on alcohol when going out? You mean that´s an option?

Well like stated earlier I plan to go to Paris Masters this year, but that might change to roland garos if I fluke getting a job. Obviously I wouldnt just go for the tennis as I reqlly want to discover paris and its history / culture. Unfortunately one dilemna is finding someone to go with as none as my mates like tennis and probably would not want to go to Paris either. They all seem set on a lads holiday full of drinking but that would deffo not be to my likings.

Go alone and stay at a hostel, you'll never feel alone. Been there, done that.
I stayed at a really good hostel in Paris.
