Best football league in the world?
Which football league is the best in the world?
I think the Bundesliga. It offers excitement, good quality football, good teams, and is the best run league in the world with virtually no debt. Different teams are involved in different races every year, it's end to end stuff averaging more goals a game than other major leagues.
2nd La Liga, 3rd the Premier League

Thats because the teams at the top aren't as good as teams at the top of other leagues, and the overall quality of the league is poor in comparison to others.
On another note it's the same teams in the same position every year. Bundesliga has had more winners and more top 4 members in the past 10 years than the PL.

Bundesliga- Most competitive and best quality of play, incredible amount of support for their teams and by far the most entertaining gemes to watch.

Re: Best football league in the world?
Depends on what you consider the "best". For example, in terms of competitiveness la Liga can't rank very high since it's pretty much a 2 team tournament (this season Atletico Madrid is doing great, but Barcelona still has a good lead). But those 2 are among the 3 or 4 best teams in the world. Premier League and Serie A has declined a bit, a few years ago the Premier League had four teams (Liverpool, Arsenal, Man Utd, Chelsea) making deep runs in the Champions League and an all-english final in 2008 and the league was competitive too (all of them were champions in the last decade except for Liverpool). Now those teams declined and are very inconsistent (Chelsea won the CL and then couldn't make it to the knockout stage). Calciopoli hurt Serie A, Juve just recovered last season, Milan have been very inconsistent and it was all Inter for a while. Bundesliga wasn't at the level of those 3 but lately there were some teams playing great football and making good runs in European competitions, Bayer, Borussia, Schalke.
I guess it's the premier league if I have to pick one. Great matches, there's room for upsets and a good amount of teams competing for the title.

Weighing up everything is what i meant. So, excitment, teams, how it's run etc...
As for the bold, so does the Bundesliga

Re: Best football league in the world?
I'm going to sound biased, but I think Serie A deserves more credit than what it gets. IMO (not only my opinion though, clearly, this comes off many players, coaches, etc) it's the most difficult league out of them all. probably not the place where the best football is played if we are very strict with the judging (Premier League and Bundesliga could edge in that department), but every match against every team is as tough as it gets... Genoa, seeing things from the lowest part of the tournament, having quite high chances to go back to Serie B this season just took 4 points off Juve and Lazio and it doesn't come as a huge surprise / isn't big news because that does happen frequently. Imagine if something similar happens in Spain to Madrid or Barca, to use an example..
so, probably not 'the BEST', but it's up there in competitiveness/toughness. it's a shame the performance of italian clubs in european competitions have been decreasing the last few years, it has certainly affected the league's reputation, with a big economic impact not to mention all the scandals to add it up.

Re: Best football league in the world?
Clearly the Bundesliga. Great football, quality from top to bottom, lots of young talent, packed crowds everywhere, definitely the best package overall by a distance.
It's also the best run league with virtually no debt despite having the cheapest ticket prices anywhere in Europe.

I know, but by real football i mean the sport where you kick a ball into a net, not run with an egg shape ball into a zone.
Or, you may recognise it more as soccer

Don't point one and point two contradict each other here?
