apparently both 'racket' and 'racquet' are correct nowadays, it's all over the place tho, but let's not discuss spelling here . The journalist who wrote the article chose to use 'racket'

Nadal training with Andujar today -- has a bandage on his left knee. Did not have bandage the last few days.

He also had it in one of his practice sessions from Barcelona. I hope it doesn't mean anything.

Re: Rafael Nadal Injury/Health Update Thread : Nadal confirmed for Viña del Mar
Rafael Nadal played today a practice match against Nicolás Massú and won 6-2 6-2. Then they played one tie break and Nadal won it by 7-4. The trainer of Massú said that if Nadal's knee works well he will win Viña del Mar tournament easily.
So there are reasons to be optimistic. Tomorrow Nadal plays for the first time since Wimbledon (doubles with Pico Mónaco) and Wednesday at 22:00h CET he plays his R16 singles match agains Guido Pella or a qualifier.

Re: Rafael Nadal Injury/Health Update Thread : Nadal confirmed for Viña del Mar
Glad to see Nadal back in competition. I hope his knee holds up and he adjusts well to his new racquet. I must say the prospect of even greater topspin on that heavy forehand of his is a daunting one for his competitors.
For me he's still favourite for the French Open unless I see a noticeable decline from his former level. That practice match bodes well for him.

Re: Rafael Nadal Injury/Health Update Thread : Nadal confirmed for Viña del Mar
nadal looks even more bigger.....his body looks more powerful than before the injury.
anyway , I think that the rackets should be regulated , if the technology of the rackets keeps improving , it`s more artificial

oh wow exciting. even though Massu is not exactly a great player anymore, it is promising to see that Nadal obviously still has a degree of touch and confidence. even practice matches really do help a player get back into the zone.
can't wait for Wednesday
