Better player won. I remember Frank playing like this last year against Tsonga, it was a great match as well, although Jo won in straights.

Nice win for Canada, Spain has won more than enough of this trophy anyway.

Dancevic was quite good, especially in patches, but Granollers wasn't beating Jabor Al Mutawa playing like this

+ constant weak 2nd serve feeding. Gruntollers only played relatively well towards the end. It was 0/7 on BPs in the middle of the 3rd set I believe btw (just for those who didn't watch it to not think the difference in this match was the BP conversion).

Frank played pretty well in that match. Nowhere near what he played today though imo. Obviosuly his opponent had something to do with that but he was still much better today imo.

Didn't think Frank would keep it up over an entire 5 set match (he rarely has before), but he proved me wrong today. His lights out level would have beaten most players on tour.

Need just one more win to win the tie now. It's not over yet, though. While Milos should beat Granollers, he's going to need to do better than he did today.

This is true. Dancevic was very good and Marcel very bad for 2 sets, but the 3rd could easily have gone either way- not often you can say that about a 6-2 set.

In the first two sets, Dancevic was adequate while Gruntollers was abysmally bad, especially when he had so many BP chances. In the 3rd set, it got more competitive but Frankie was way too good. His one-hander is one hell of a weapon when he's on.
