Re: Who is the early favorite for Roland Garros 2013?
Djokovic has vulnerabilities against single handed backhanders on fast playing surfaces.

Djokovic, until Nadal's knees prove otherwise

I have a feeling this year we will see the fall of the clay warrior. Djokovic or even Roger will win this if Nadal falls early.

Re: Who is the early favorite for Roland Garros 2013?
I think you can´t make an early favourite. Djokovic has only final here which he lost pretty badly except for 8 games. And in my opinion he is just not as good as he used to be in 2011. BUT with an AO-like draw he will probably win. Nadal has not played for 8 months and becomes 27 yo during the tournament, he is not as good as in his younger years, as well, though 2012 RG was much better than 2011. Murray has never reached a clay final, so obviously he is not a favorite. And I can´t see him beating Federer, Nadal or Djokovic, or even 2 of them. Federer on the other hand was the best player at RG 2011, but played horrible in 2012. If he gets a good form and Ferrer in his half and Nadal in the other, he would be my favourite. The only player outside of the top 4 who could win would be del Potro. If he´s hitting well, he´s so hard to beat and unlike Berdych, he has slam potential.

Re: Who is the early favorite for Roland Garros 2013?
Djokovic is favourite this time. Nadal might eb the clay goat, but he hasn't played matches for almost 3/4 year. He hasn't any match rythm. It will require time to reach his old form back. He will probably win against many other players on clay, but against the top guys I think he will now have serious problems. If Nadal wins RG 2013, it would be a great achievement. I think Djokovic is a larger favourite than Nadal for RG 2013.

Re: Who is the early favorite for Roland Garros 2013?
If Nadal is healthy, then he wins RG.
If not, I have a feeling that not only will Roger win the title, but it might well be his last grand slam title.

The 4 people that voted for Andy. Good trolling.

Re: Who is the early favorite for Roland Garros 2013?
Novak, I think he said it was his main goal in 2013. He wants it badly.
But Rafa must comes first always, it will depend on his level.

Re: Who is the early favorite for Roland Garros 2013?
Del Potro's defeat against Chardy must show he's not one of the 4/5 favorites, in any Grand Slam. He's like Tsonga, Berdych and Ferrer (except 2012), he can lost early in any GS.
I repeat : Del Potro is not better than Tsonga, Berdych and Ferrer, this is truth. Del Potro has not reach a semi-final in a Grand Slam since 2009 US Open !
