Re: Filip Peliwo
Lost to Turini in R1 of Plantation, not a good start.

Re: Filip Peliwo
Not disastrous by any means - lost 5-7 in the third to a guy ranked 90 spots ahead of him.

Can't really go off ranking here, as I'm pretty sure he's supposed to be better.

Re: Filip Peliwo
A good win over Taro Daniel, a solid up and comer in round 1. Disappointed he couldn't at least get Fratangelo to three sets in round two. (Turini beat Salamanca, making last week's loss to him not such a bad-looking one.)

Re: Filip Peliwo
Question, I know in the past that players who finished in the top 10 in the junior rankings at the end of the year you get some junior exempt entries into futures events?
Does it still work like that? If so why didn't Filip use it to get into the futures event this past week? He won't need them most of the time as his ranking is good enough to get into most futures anyway

Re: Filip Peliwo
Was just wondering why no one answered my question before about his future pro potential, like do you think he will be top 100, 50, 25, 10?

Who knows? I haven't seen him play at all except for some video from the junior slams.

Re: Filip Peliwo
Speaking of video, a few weeks ago, we had a chance make a fun video with Filip. A friend and I played against him in a tiebreak. Here's what happened:

They normally save the Junior Exempts for the 15k + H tournaments which get you over twice as many points and about twice as much prize money as the one's he was currently playing in.

Re: Filip Peliwo
I noticed he's going to use a Junior Exemption for Brownsville Futures on Feb 18.

He's on the entry list for the canadian futures in a couple of weeks. expect him to play these two events plus the rimouski challenger...
