Again? This is really awful. Is he ever gonna be fit again? Best wishes Rafito

Not sure what this means. He said the knee is still sore but that the doctors said everything looks ok. He hopes the discomfort will go away once he starts competing.
Don't think he'll pull out.

Surely playing through pain in his current condition is foolish? Even if the doc sees no problem, surely pain is an indicator to stop?

So he'll just meet the Chilean head of state and return or tank R1?

Indeed that part has me worried too. A couple months ago on ESPN they said Blake had the same injury and opted for rest over an operation and it never worked out for him. That got me worried a lot but was hoping for the best but man as a fan this hurts so much not knowing how it's going to unfold, the uncertainty, the possibility of him retiring because of this and constantly checking how it goes is hard to take. And then there are douchebags in here who take joy from an injured player. Best wishes to Rafa.

I agree, and he should certainly consult different people (and probably has) before considering playing with pain.
That said, i myself has pain in joints that actually got better and disappeared once I trained thru the pain. So there can be situation where it may be okay to got thru a temporary phase of pain, i doubt thats the case here though

Pain is not always an indicator to stop. You can play through it and may feel better later. Not that I have any qualification but surely he won't risk it if he's waited so long .
I don't even think there's a slight chance he'll retire.

and then clueless tards say 2005, 2006, 2007 Nadal was a baby and it was a shame to lose to him. this guy was playing just as well back then as later IMO
BTW: Unreal what kind of shots Coria was able to recover in this match
