Novak focuses on fewer, and mainly bigger tournaments these days. Ferrer won more tournaments than everybody else last year, and that didn't say much.

It´s pretty close at the monment, but the whole comparison is pretty pointless, because it´s only a matter of time until Djokovic clearly passes them both, anyway. And it´s most likely going to happen this year. And this is coming from a huge fan of Edberg.

Fakervic may get a few more slams from Mugray and inherit some weeks at #1 compared to OldFed and KneeDal but he will never be a great player like Stefan.
