Re: Nikola Milojevic
He was very good as a youngster, he was even really good for a 16 year old, but now as an 18 year old he hasn't progressed like he should have, he should have gotten results in futures by now

Re: Nikola Milojevic
It is no big deal, some won very young like Borg and then stopped at 25.
Some were called "Baby Fed" and then didn't win anything significant to date.
There is no rule...
His coach does a good job making him improve with no pressure at junior level.
I would be anyway very happy if he gets the same career as Berdych or Tipsy.
PS : With his double win (singlu i dublu) in Mexico, Nikola is 28 pts away of Junior World #1 (943 vs 971 for Quinzi)
With winning Copa Del Cafe 2013, Nikola would take the lead by 42 points.

While he was competiting in Under 14's, he had no rival and was winning everything that could be won, and of course he was #1.
His biggest achievement was probably winning Grade 2 event in Beijing. He also played in another G2 final in Huzhou. He also won one Grade 4 event in St.Petersburg and played in 3 more finals.
A few weeks ago, he played on Grade A Casablanca Cup and reached QF. This week, he's 13th seed on Australian Open and will play against unseeded Saville in R3. He's probably the biggest hope of Serbian tennis.

Well spotted andrija!
He's now the #1 junior in the world.

Re: Nikola Milojevic
All of his points have come from tournaments that the top players are too good to play in. He's a good player, but he's not the #1 Junior in the world regardless of what the rankings say. If you look at the quality of players in the tournaments he's won its pathetic. Costa Rica had no one, Mexico had Silva, I'll give him that.
I'm not trying to take a lot away from him, but he is not the best Junior in the world, not by a long shot.

Re: Nikola Milojevic
If he makes the semi-finals of the Australian Open, I'll leave him alone. But until then I can't remember the last time he beat a player ranked in the top 20.

Thanx to have posted it, I was so focused on Nole's games that I forgot.
Anyway, playing on dust in South America wan't probably the best way of preparing AO... but it gave him the World #1 spot for 1 week.
Let see what he's future will be now.

Re: Nikola Milojevic
In two weeks he's playing another G1 junior event. These are not events for Top 10 juniors, he should be trying to get a pro ranking so that he won't need to spend his first year as a senior struggling.

Re: Nikola Milojevic
Have to agree with GasquetGulbis, Milojevic should be playing futures and getting results now. I don't know why he is playing all these junior events which aren't going to aid his development at all
