He reacted to the supporters who were chanting 'Nole, we love you' with 'Thank you, I love you too'

Thank you.
The way he was interacting with fans was sweet. He let them hold the trophy.

I think you shouldn't overuse your power. I mean, you absolutely must give RG another try, but then if it works, maybe Kalisita can do W and you can come back for USO. the 2 of you together make magic happen

I know!
It drives me crazy that people say that any of the top ten are untalented or pushers or whatever. They are the TEN most successful players in the WORLD. That doesn't happen by accident. It's a whole year of success. And Murray is top three. And he's been near the very top for several years. He's a great player.
I don't like him and I'm not a fan, but I'm not delusional.

Thanks for the kind words star, and good posting in gm as well. It's pathetic seeing not only the ammount of hate Murray gets, but also the amount of hate Nole gets too. I mean 6 time slam Champion, won a tournament 4 times, 3 in a row, and people can't help but take cheap shots at him and discredit his talent. Pathetic really.

OMG, I wasn't the only one.
Phew... me carelessly stealing kalisita's thunder with 'Nole time... ' line just before the Stan match almost led to a total disaster. Never ever again. Thank you Nole for overcoming that somehow!

Novak Djokovic: I am still overwhelmed with excitement and joy from my latest achievement. Laying in bed now and thinking "Novak, you are 4 times AO champion". That's quite something, right?
I will have to repeat it in my mind for a while to sink in. I had incredible journey in the past few weeks, and I managed to overcome some very tough challenges to be where I am today. I can proudly say I learned a lot and I enjoyed every moment of my stay in Australia starting from Perth, all the way to Melbourne.
Even though Australia is quite down under, very far from home, I never felt alone. I always had my team and you by my side. Guys, you were unbelievable these past few weeks! So many messages, letters... I felt how excited you were to see me play, and how much you missed me on the court during the off season. So many of you came to watch my matches and practices, and I was lucky enough to have a chance to inspire some of you to start playing tennis, too. I had a lot of memorable moments with each of you, and most of your words touched my heart.
I love tennis not only because it brings happiness, excitement and stability in my life, but also because I got to have you - millions of you around the world watching me and supporting me. We have unbelievable power in our hands my friends, we can inspire many people around us to do good things, to play sport, to study and fight for better lives. We are all part of one team, one family - no matter the race, religion, sex or origin. We all share the same passion and love for this sport. So thank you for these wonderful couple of weeks and for believing in me.
And guess what? This is just the start of the year! Plenty of things ahead of us, starting from tomorrow morning...
Stay tuned.

Loved his interviews at the trophy ceremony and pre/post-final press conference, too. Also I just realized that I haven't felt he's younger than me for quite a long while. For good reasons. *nod*

Re: Sculpting a victory: A Pygmalion Slogan for the Australian Open! F v Murray
Phew, so relieved he pull that one off After the first set and when he went down triple break point, it looked like he's going to be blown off the court, like Olympics or Wimbledon Winning the second set was so huge, everything was completely different from there.
Some other take aways: Simply awesome, awesome serving, over 4 sets didn't get broken a single time against the best returner on tour (other than himself); awesome net points, went to the net over 30 times and won almost all of those; finally slicing like a top player, not like a hack ; after the 1st set was gone, was patient again like in 2011, and resetting bad points rather than going for broke; totally business like and seems to have Federer-type frame of mind - it's a privilege to play the game
Last but not least, all the haters can now totally shut the ef up, with their "slamless #1", and other drivel
