That's a big if. It remains to be seen how Djokovic will hold up physically over the next years (heck, didn't Fed start showing the first signs of slowing down at age 27?) and the current dearth of upcoming youngsters who can challenge for the win can't continue indefinitely. As a Djokovic fan, I'm just savouring every success of his right now.

yes, but "open era" is exaggerated, I'd say since 1987 when it switched to hardcourts.
If it had switched to hardcourts, and especially slow hardcourts, earlier, I think Lendl would have won many ones. He was very comfortable in Australia but could only play it on hardcourts in his old age.

I meant more as solidify himself as the AO GOAT. He's already ahead of Fed and Agassi for me.

Mind blowing at how quickly past two years have come and gone.
Seems like yesterday when Murray got thrashed in 3 in 2011.

Djokos 6th slam and Marys 6th slam final = they are kind of equally good.

 good one
Amazing what Novak has achieved in Melbourne. Well done champ
The match itself was pretty unenjoyable and bad quality but the outcome was right It seems that Novak only starts hitting freely when he has more or less of a cushion. 1st will be gladly forgotten, appalling from both... 2nd was best quality by both but by the end of it Andy totally lost his enegry and was no match for Novak.
6 GS Champion. Man, that sound great!
Better luck next time Andy!

And don't forget he was winning that match against tsonga when he got a severe case of heaving.

lol now the Noletards will be worse than ever.
Anyway, too good from Novak, no doubt actually a worthy champion in this overall mediocre field. Tennis isn't too exciting these days, but what to do. It may become even worse.
