He might level him. Another 2 AOs and another USO and one RG perhaps.

Nole looks very strong now. It's not as if young talent is really looming. Tsonga/Berdych etc already proved they can't run with the big dogs. Fed may be on the way out (very slowly though). I don't believe Nadal will come back strong. Murray and to a lesser extent Fed might be his only serious opponents for some years to come in which case he can string together another 6+ slams.

This. Very well put. In two years time Fedal won't be an issue anymore. Who's going to challenge Novak then?

Not impossible but I sincerely doubt it.

4 of 6 slams at Australian Open, while Nadal has 7 of 11 at RG. So he is more dependent on AO than Nadal on RG. Additionally, Djokovic is on the top since 2007 and his game relies on his fitness, it won´t get easier to get another 6 slams. On the other hand, the only good upcoming player is Tomic.

Re: Will Nole surpass Nadal's GS count at the end of their career?
I will say this. If Nadal is forced to retire Nole will even surpass Federers 17 slams. A bit bold here but the possibility is VERY LIKELY unless Nole gets injured or something.
Depends on Nadals injury. If his knees can hold for a couple more years I really doubt it, he will end up winning a couple more but if his return doesn't work out and he has to retire then obviously yes.
If Nadal has to retire Nole might even surpass Federer. There is no real competition for the next years until Nole decides to quit so he can collect 2 a year easily imo if he plays 6 more years he can pass 17 slams. If Nadal is done clay is Nole's for the next 6 years no one can touch him there + Australian Open which is his too imo don't see anyone else who can compete so you have nearly 10-12 slams there and he'll win Wimby too at least 1 or 2 times more and USO too so really with Fed being done and Nadal injured this could happen.
No one can stop Nole at this point. The only one who can compete the best with him is a healthy Nadal.

Re: Will Nole surpass Nadal's GS count at the end of their career?
Djokovic is 25, 26 later this year. He has 3 - 4 more years of domination. His only real competition is Murray, a fading Federer and a potentially non-competitive Nadal. He has 6 slams already, with say 15 more to realistically play for. If he wins half of those he will have 13 or 14 slams, which is a realistic outcome, IF he stays fit.
Thus there is a very good chance Djokovic could surpass Nadal's 11, as I'm not convinced Nadal will add to his count.
The problem Djokovic has is that his game is very taxing on his body. I thought even today he didn't look 100% out there against Murray and was leaking errors as he was trying to shorten the rallies quite a bit. I think he is very concious of the fact that for longevity he will have to change his game, and he definitely comes to the net a lot more than he used to. If he can stay fit, he will surpass Nadal.
I don't think he'll get past Federer's 17 though, as I'm convinced Federer will add to his tally yet with Wimbledon where Fed's game is more suited than Djokovic's game, as Djokovic can't move as well on grass and his game is so dependent on his movement.
