You would have to think so. Career high singles ranking for Sam this week and just inside the top 200?

Re: Samuel Groth: The Forgotten Australian
Groth is through to the semis where he will play Matt Reid for a spot in the final I think later today. Earlier he knocked over unseeded James Duckworth 7-6 7-6. I'm tipping Sam to take out Groth hopefully in straight sets.

Re: Samuel Groth: The Forgotten Australian
Groth has been drawn to Suk-Young Jeong of Korea in the first round at Kyoto, Groth smashed Jeong in Syndey earlier this week 6-1 6-2, so lets hope for a repeat from Sam.

Sam does occassionally take out Groth - when he serves some wild serves, or acts like a chook, but this time Reid took out Groth.
Good two weeks from Sam (Groth)sees him at a ranking high and back under 200 for only the second time of his career.

Re: Samuel Groth: The Forgotten Australian
Groth bundled out in Kyoto in 2nd round by German Peter Gojowczyk in straight sets 64 64. He faced only one bp in 1st set but saved four out of five in second, whilst Gojowczyk faced only one bp in whole match, in 2nd set.
Not the expected result from Sam.

He'll bundle out of the top 200 with that as he was defending 29 points in Kyoto..

Re: Samuel Groth: The Forgotten Australian
Big Sam in the 2nd round of the Challenger in Rimouski, against Mailman, wins the 1st set tie-break and brings it home in the 2nd to surprisingly deal with Millman, saving 4 break points on his serve and converting 1 of two on Millman's serve, winning 76 63 and advancincing to the QF round.
Well done Sam...
Now plays unseeded Aldin Sektic, who beat Michal Przysiezny, in straight sets.
A good ooportunity for Big Sam.

Re: Samuel Groth: The Forgotten Australian
Means nothing if doesnt beat Sektic. These are the matches he needs to win. The ones that he is expected to.
