yes , but federer would was his most dangerours rival over grass and with the skill of beat him over grass , federer has a very good serve over grass too ( with roddick he made 50 aces in slow grass) and great movement in grass.
for the other side , I can`t imagine petros dominating roger in AO or USO , and in clay too.
petros would had advantage in grass and indoor I think

Re: Grinding wins agains, speed up the courts or the sport will die.
Fed was bagelled by Spadea on clay. The Spadea who had the 22 match losing streak and won a lone title against Roddick from a set and 1-3 deficit.

The only player who has always troubled Federer on clay is Nadal. Just because someone specialises on clay it doesn't mean that they're anywhere near Nadal's level on the surface at any given point in time, let alone over a period long enough to influence Federer's overall clay resume. In the 90s there were barely any players who could go deep at RG year after year. I mean there was a defending RG champion who got knocked out by an 18 year old. So the evidence points to their effect on Federer's performance over the long run being minimal.

Heck, even past it Acasuso in RG 09 had him one set all and like 5-1 in the third before he choked and Fed roared back to win in four.
|
Fed beat Sampras at Wimbledon as a 19 year old. But that doesn't make it a useful result to draw match-up inferences from.

FACT:
Federer defeated Sampras in 2001 Wimbledon.
And it was the young, underdeveloped 20 yo Federer (younger than Tomic is now).
And don't tell me Sampras had already declined, because I am going to use all your noletards argument that Federer has not declined.
And Saberg, you even wrote in the other thread yesterday that Roger is now more a complete player and he was at his peak.
So, young, underdeveloped Federer beat yet to decline and complete Sampras.

Disgusting stuff, Stanislas should've won today but the courts and umpiring is rigged to prevent clowns like Djokovic from ever losing a match before SF.

OP, your thread is so retarded. so, Novak won but not because of his 'shotmaking' or technical ability ? like really??? Are you really that ignorant? Did you even watch the match? Djokovic grinding out his opponent (Ferrer, the biggest grinder ever) ? Nole won against Berdych, is he a grinder too? Please share your tennis knowledge with us. God help us all. Some people on this board are just amazing. (amazing meaning being completely clueless).
probably the stupidest thread of the year ...

Re: Grinding wins agains, speed up the courts or the sport will die.
Noserer can only win when players are injured or choke. Otherwise he's exposed as a mug with no game and girly backhand and RoS slightly better than Clownga's

Re: Grinding wins agains, speed up the courts or the sport will die.
Didn't they already change the Grass at Wimbledon in 2001? Sampras was already on the decline only getting up for the USO the year after. Federer got dominated by Henman soon after lmao.

Henman won 3 very tight sets, and Federer won 1 lopsided dominant set.
Federer was 19 at the time and obviously still had maturing to do, and are you saying Henman isn't a good player.

Sampras declined when he was still 29?
are you kidding me?
noletards and rafatards claim federer has not declined when he's 31.5, so Sampras did not decline as well.
