Anyway, you're right. The audience likes long spectacular rallies. But, they also like it even more if the rally is long on high-speed courts, because the defense on those courts is close to impossible, yet the players are still able to get the ball. The slower the court is, the higher chance that long unspectacular rallies with nothing special exist.
No, I'm Croatian and English is not my first language.

Also, exactly! Slower courts make the longer rallies unspectacular because it's way easier to get the balls back, when the rallies were long and the players were getting tons of balls back on faster courts it was a true spectacle.

Okay, and like I said these kind of long rallies are 100% possible on faster courts; anyone that's watched tennis for a while would know this.

If anything slowing down the courts make these rallies unspectacular.

Yeah, I can agree with that.

I don't think we are really disagreeing here, save for that you think the audience would not notice if the courts were sped up again, whereas I think that they seem to like the current status quo. It could be that you are right, but that would still mean that the tournament organisers need an incentive to speed up some courts, seeing as how the audience will not be clamoring for it of its' own accord.

I simply can't believe you wouldn't cheer for your fellow ex-Yugoslav brethren such as Novak

Faster HC and grass would be good for grinders' bodies.

1) Rallies would be shorter.
2) Grinders would lose earlier, thus less matches.

Did you watch tennis during the Rebounce Ace era? If you did, you should know why they get rid of the surface because the damage it did to players

Croats and Serbs don't really like each other that much. Not that there is a general rule about it though. But being separate religions helps them at least be neutral about each other.

pushing and grinding is not special because people can see those in abundance in their local tennis clubs.

I like variety and great shotmaking, that's why I enjoy most Fed-Nole matches. They are truly high quality that I can never see in my local clubs.

3 of the top 4 cant play on fast courts without risking early losses to lower ranked players

the ATP cant risk having the big names go out early so they homogenized the shit out of everything

so nole and murray have these crazy SF streaks that are disgraceful.

lendl had to earn his
federer started off as a serve and volleyer

there is a place for slower tennis- but there should also be a place for agressive tennis and also serve and volley

Nope. Most Croats hate everything which comes from Serbia, including Novak Djokovic

Rebound Ace was removed because on higher temperature it is getting very sticky and it caused many injuries to tennis players.

So when is hot rebound ace gets sticky, so there is tendency for shoes to better grip this kind of surface which causes tear up of ankles and knees , especially joints.

But Jerka wouldnt know that because he was small kid back then, when this surface was used on tennis courts around the globe.
