unless Berdych chokes away a 6-0 6-0 5-0 40-love lead, mug of the month is going to Almagro

Toss up between Almagro and Wawrinka. Both had chances and won't get any sleep for a week or two.

Re: 2012 MTF Mug of the Month: Wawrinka at it again
Berdych I think has the potential to create something against Djokovic. If someone like Tsonga or even Federer blew up MPs against Djokovic I can easily see Berdych do the same

Definitely Almagro. Wawrinka just lost a close match, while playing amazing tennis. Not sure how he's a mug

Mug of December: Bellucci losing the Challenger Year End again.
Almugro must be the Mug of January after this loss.

Wawrinka didn't mug anything up, I mean sure at moments but he played a great match just didn't hit the best ball in a few moments that he could have. Wawrinka's performance a few nights ago is not even in the ballpark of being a contendor, that was a great mach...
Almagro's choking abilities however.... :0

exactly.
Stan's name is in the thread title from October of last year; nothing to do with the AO match vs Djokovic (& OP is banned so there's no one to change the thread title)

Actually this whole thread is for 2012. should be locked and a new one for 2013 started.
I nominate our hater-in-chief mod, Action Jackson, to start the 2013 thread.
(though I haven't seen him around in a while. hope he's not banned )
