Re: Grinding wins agains, speed up the courts or the sport will die.
LOL @ that list. Also Santoro is not really a pusher either. He just only had the slice. If you watch his matches he was constantly approaching the net and trying to finish of points. Murray was never a pusher, he's not anymore aggressive now than he used to be. His forehand and serve just have more power now. Fognini is a great shotmaker.
There is no such thing as a real out and out pusher in pro-tennis. They exist at the amateur and junior level, but thats it. Calling any of those players pushers is like calling Nadal a moonballer. We use the term in a hyperbolic sense, noone is serious with it.

Pinktards and their crippled logic. If courts were fast as wished by them, pink would have lost to Raonic today in 3 or 4 tie break sets.

I'd like faster hardcourts and grass but I wouldn't have had anything against Raonic beating Fed.
There are neutral fans here.
Btw. Raonic would've still lost. He couldn't have broken Fed's serve.

Hi rejoiner
Also that wouldn't happen, because unlike the other top players Federer is versatile. He can play almost any tennis style to a high level, its why he's the goat.

No he cant. He was schooled by Berdych on fast court 4 months ago at the US slam.

Yeah, one match defines a player. Watch Federer in his early 20s then come back to me.
Its true that Fed has lost some of his explosiveness with age, but I think credit should be given to Berdych who is capable of a very high level of play on fast courts. Would've been a slam winner in the 90s.

In his early 20's pink often lost to fast court players like Nalbandian. As surfaces got slower Nalbandian started declining and pink rose. Berdych, Nalbandian, Ancic, Tsonga suffered the greatest from slowness of surfaces. Tsonga was good attacking player initially when he broke out in 2008 but had to convert into another defensive player which he is not good at to match with slow courts.

And Djoko wouldn't win half of their AO/USO matches which he won.

He has a point about Blake. Every time I watched Blake in his prime I could think to myself 'Gee, just stop pushing and take some risks for once'. Being too conservative with his shotmaking/not having the guts to go for his shots has always been Blake's downfall

The point is top players like pink become vulnerable to losses before Quarterfinals if courts are sped up. They may not also face each other as often as a result. All that is not profitable for the organizers.

Re: Grinding wins agains, speed up the courts or the sport will die.
Not so sure about that. He likes fast courts. On the other hand, Nadal loses before QF even on slow courts, I'm scared to think what would happen if the courts were faster.
