Chela said Nadal decided not to play Buenos Aires because he knew he (Chela) would be there.

Re: Rafael Nadal Injury/Health Update Thread : Nadal confirmed for Viña del Mar
Well, I add to the thread new info about what has been doing Nadal these days and what will do this week.
Nadal was training last week in the Real Club Esportiu de Barcelona (the tennis club that he belongs) during three days. Then he returned to Mallorca, and he continued practising in the Club de Tenis de Manacor (his first club, the club where he started to play tennis). He posted a pic of a training session where he said that he was trying to practice. Some people were worried about this, because they thought that something was wrong, but it was because of the bad weather that we had in Spain this weekend. The pic was:

(we can see how bad is the clay on the baseline because of the rain)
Then, the most important thing: tomorrow he'll fly to Barcelona to practice again at the Real Club Esportiu de Tenis, but not with people around TOP300 (like the last time). He'll be training with players that have played in the Australian Open and are out of the tournament and he'll practice with maximum intensity, as a simulation of the real level of competition. It is expected to be the last challenge for Rafa before flying to Viña del Mar, something that he'll do on 1-2 of February.
Regards

Re: Rafael Nadal Injury/Health Update Thread : Nadal confirmed for Viña del Mar
Two more news about Nadal:
-> In Viña del Mar, he will play doubles with one of his greatests friends, Juan 'Pico' Monaco:

(this picture was taken last year when 'Pico' travelled to Mallorca to visit Rafa and stay with him some days... they trained and swam together)
Nadal will play his doubles match on Tuesday 5th of February, so he will play in doubles before than in singles. It can help Nadal to get his best level sooner, to practice more on clay and to warm-up for the defence of the Indian Wells doubles title, which was won by Rafael Nadal and Marc López.
-> The organization has scheduled Nadal debut: 6th of February at 22:00 CET (18:00 in Chile). If he wins, the next match is scheduled by the organization on Friday 8th of February, time to be confirmed. And if he wins this match too he'll play semifinals on Saturday and maybe the final on Sunday. So, he'll start in R16.

My thoughts too. AO 2013 is the most boring slam in recent years.

Re: Rafael Nadal Injury/Health Update Thread : Nadal confirmed for Viña del Mar
I changed my last message: Nadal and Pico will play their doubles match on Tuesday 5th of February, so Nadal will come back to courts playing a doubles match (before his singles match on Wednesday).
And thats all (sorry for posting it in more than one message but I'm getting the information in this moment).
