fanfuckingtastic idea OP, kudos for this one. I'm sure a guy who's been out for over half a year would be fine with playing 4 tournaments within a month!

I don't think Ferrer even plays 4 events down there, haha I mean if you play double the amount of clay tournaments instead of half the hard court events you might end up with the same physcial negative results. I'm surprised he's playing 3, 2 seemed adequate

Re: Rafael Nadal Injury/Health Update Thread : Nadal confirmed for Viña del Mar
Nadal confirms comeback at Chilean Open

SANTIAGO (Reuters) French Open champion Rafa Nadal will make his long-awaited comeback from injury at next months Chile Open, the Spaniard confirmed on Thursday.
The ATP had already announced he would take part in the Brazil Open the following week.
Im delighted to confirm my participation in Vina del Mar in Chile, Nadal said on his Facebook page.
I would like to thank the organization for the invitation to play there and say Ive got a lot of fans in the country and finally Ill be able to go there to see them and play my first tournament after the injury that got me out of the circuit for so long. Thank you and see you in Vina.
Chile Open organisers described Nadal as the best claycourt tennis player of all time when announcing that the 10-times grand slam champion would be playing.
Nadal, who has not played an ATP tournament in south America since 2005, has been sidelined with tendinitis in his left knee since last years Wimbledon tournament in June.
His hopes of returning at the Australian Open were dashed by illness.
Nadals long absence from the circuit means he could drop outside the top four in the world after the conclusion of the Australian Open.

Re: What I don't get about Rafa...
What I don't get is why fedtards would never shut the fuck up? Crazy mathematicians, counting and recounting titles and weeks, can they ever get tired? Rafa didn't let Fed win whatever number you have in your heads of GSs, so what?! It's frigging done, it's a fact it's a history! Deal with it! There is nothing you, freaks, can do about it! Live with it!

Re: What I don't get about Rafa...
He is not even sure he will play Acapulco, let alone every single week...

Acapulco is too hardcore for a vulture like him. It's Almagro's playground.

Re: Rafael Nadal Injury/Health Update Thread : Nadal confirmed for Viña del Mar
Great news. This South American clay season will be excellent to recover the confidence in himself and all the feelings that he need to be competitive (looking at the european clay season).
He is playing in Indian Wells and Miami. He has now a very stressful calendar (Viña del Mar, Sao Paolo, week of rest, Acapulco, MSG exhibition, Indian Wells, Miami) but as Just like heaven said in Indian Wells and Miami there are days of rest so it helps.

Re: Rafael Nadal Injury/Health Update Thread : Nadal confirmed for Viña del Mar
These are great news to have Nadal back on the tour playing these small clay tournaments (Vina del Mar + SAO PAULO) to get some fresh cash + some previous matches in order to find harder competition in Acapulco. This is a great training for him in order to focus for Montecarlo and the previous tournaments to RG.

Re: What I don't get about Rafa...
Nadal should play every tournament of the year, but tank every slam. He can reach #1 again that way

Re: What I don't get about Rafa...
