You are right. There is no need to think about conspiracy theories because there is not any proove of something wrong with Nadal's injury, as he has always talked about his injury during all the time that he has been away from courts. And his doctor, Angel Ruiz Cotorro, has described the injury of Rafael Nadal with details. And, for sure, for a player like Nadal (a man that is obssesed with being competitive and compete) missing the Olympics (where he was the spanish flag ambassor, something that was very emotional for him because of his patrioticism), the US OPEN (he trained to be on the US OPEN but he felt pain, in fact he was thinking about coming back in Winston-Salem), the ATP World Tour Finals (the only big trophy that Nadal hasn't win until today) and the Australian Open (he was not physically fine to go to a Grand Slam with guarantees of being competitive there) is something that, for sure, he doesn't like.
For me it hurts seeing Federer fans that are Nadal haters or Nadal fans that are Federer haters. In general I can't understand people that has always a hated player in his mind and that is always criticising the player that he dislikes rather than admire the player that he likes. I mean, for me tennis is an sport where this actitudes aren't welcome, it mixes better with football. Guys, we have an excellent generation of tennis player with different game styles. We have to enjoy them... in ten or twenty years I think that haters will appreciate this time and the players that they were hating before.

Is Nadal officialy playing in Vina del Mar?
If yes, then he might score 1000 points all together. It's almost as much as last year after AO final... The season can still be saved

Nadal could be back in the top 4 before RG. Guess it's better that way.

Sure, tire yourself before MC and RG so Novak can win them both

Will he just play on clay/grass this year? Looks like he is avoiding all hc tournaments.

I don't think he'll skip the US Open and the masters 1000 warm up tourneys. Also, of course the WTF if he qualifies.
Now, IW and Miami are another thing. Nadal will supposedly play 3 tournaments in 4 weeks in South America. When Acapulco ends he has like half a week until IW starts, and don't forget IW and Miami are back to back.
It wouldn't surprise me if he took a break and skipped these 2 to prepare for the proper clay season.

It would be silly. He can't lose so many points. Besides, we don't know how he'll perform in those clay tournaments. If he loses earlier in one, then the schedule won't be busy at all. IW & Miami are also special since players have days off between matches. That should help.

What I don't get about Rafa...
Why is he playing in Chile, Brazil, and Mexico, but not Argentina? He might as well play all 4 of them and sweep them all, winning 1,250 points.
