I hope the organizers put Faker around 3pm to play at 40C......

Damn once more rigged draw, so Faker gets the toughest opponents again

I read it. I didn't explain myself properly.

You were wrong in the sense that I won't defend Djokovic in case he loses the AO, but I'll troll Djokotards with "Computer #1" bullshit and much more.

Agreed rankings don't lie. Right now Nadal is a much better player than Ferrer, but after the AO Ferrer is clearly superior.

Only Murray can defeat Djokovic in AO, them both boring each other to death like they did in Usopen.

It is too slow for Federer to defeat Djokovic, I think he is favorite against Murray but he wont beat Djokovic here.

Nadal isn't playing of course, so he still has no points in this year... which will mean nothing when he meets Ferrer on clay next time

We've been very lucky this hasn't happened already. Nadal didn't need to win the 2008 Wimbledon final to get #1, nor did Fed need to win the 2009 Wimbledon to get it back. Djokovic didn't need to win Wimbledon to get the #1 ranking from Nadal and I can't remember if Fed needed to beat Murray to get #1 last year. In all of those cases we could have had the loser come out #1 and the winner #2 which always looks bad, in 2012 we even could have had a slamless Fed as #1 (not that he didn't deserve it after 16 slams but still).

Whether this is all luck I'll leave to you, especially if Djokovic rolls though his joke draw for another slam. Reagrless, we've been very 'lucky' so far, we'll see how long we can put off turning into the WTA.

Surely this is a typo.

Also:

ATP Rankings the week of: February 14, 2011
1. Nadal (slams won in last 52 weeks: 3)
2. Federer (slams won in last 52 weeks: 0)
3. Djokovic (slams won in last 52 weeks: 1)

"Slamless" Fed was ahead of Novak even though Novak was holding a slam.

The rankings are what they are. Whoever holds the No. 1 ranking probably already won a slam at some point in their career, which more than justifies the top ranking. Whether you won one in the past 52 weeks is irrelevant.

The term computer number 1 may make a comeback as a revenge coinage, but even so, Djizzniacki can never exist.

Who told you rankings say player A is better than player B?!

Rankings tell you how a player has done in terms of results in the past 52 weeks.

Right now nadal has had better results in tournaments in the past 52 weeks. After the AO Ferrer will have better results in tournaments in the past 52 weeks. Seems pretty accurate to me.

All the Fedtards that were defending him when I and others claimed that Djokovic was clearly the better player during the fall of 2012. But no, 'Rankings don't lie'

Even your last statement is questionable. The Nadal case is a bit tricky to use, since he well, hardly played at all. But what if Player A has 3 slams and Player B has 1 or zero, but better results in other tournaments and thus more points. I wouldn't call that Player B has performed better in the past 52 weeks.

Rankings reward slams with more points, but this is still nowhere representative to importance for my liking. No way do 2 masters equal 1 slam.
