Re: Davy's 2013
i am so f*cking annoyed with his draw. He really could have done damage here this year but of course he draws federer in the second round
what are the odds fed is so rusty that davy can snatch an upset?

Re: Davy's 2013
Davydenko lost 6-3 6-4 6-4 to Fed Kinda good game from Davy in my views.
I like how Davy started this season 5-2 Now onto Montpellier he is 7th seed there so i hope a QF there would be good Davy gained 45 points in this year's AO so he'll be up from 1015 to 1050 points which will move him 2-3 places above

Re: Davy's 2013
Davy lost in second round to Nieminen 3-6 6-7(8) but he was in the place of Berdych (means seeded to play from the second round) which means he gains 0 points .... that was a bad loss ... Next tournament Roterdam where he defends 180 points ......... Now he'll gonna fall once again in the rankings hard ... to around 47th place

Re: Davy's 2013
well, this is interesting

Davydenko wins in his farewell year
Dubai | Published: February 27, 2013 - 2:48PM
Bernard Tomic retired with a "general illness" after only five games against Romania's Victor Hanescu at the Dubai Open, as Russian Nikolay Davydenko brought comedy and an upset to the seedings as he reached the second round.
Davydenko, who hopes to return to the top 20 as part of his farewell year, beat the sixth-seeded Serbian Janko Tipsarevic 6-0 7-5. But it took him half an hour to take the first two games, and 50 minutes to win the love set.
"After two games I was thinking 'match just starting - and I'm already tired', Davydenko said.
He also had a comic explanation for the sharp twist in the second set of a match which, having dominated, he suddenly found himself trailing by two breaks of serve before recovering.
"Before the second set he, like, go to toilet and come back and start to play better. I don't know what he did there."
Davydenko, currently down at 46 but still capable of significantly higher on the evidence of his enduringly excellent, early-taken ground strokes, was not apparently convinced he is on his way back to a ranking his best tennis would seem to justify.
"One day I play good. Next day I coming and I play like 300 year old," he said. "Sometimes I feel good, and sometimes like I say after one hour I'm so tired and just start to thinking why maybe I'm so old."
Davydenko does want to see if he can beat another top 10 player, as he did David Ferrer en route to the final in Doha last month.
He may get the chance. He next plays Hanescu, who got past Tomic, and if he survives that he should meet Roger Federer in the last eight.

Well ... then KAT_YYZ let's we hope he has one last good year For now he's 9-6 in this season it's not bad at all ! But he decides ... sometimes ... the time comes by itself when you understand and feel that it is rightful to hang the racket on the wall and retire with good intentions
Kolya , Loving you !

When did he say this was last year?

Re: Davy's 2013
i certainly hope its not his last year. Its hard to get an idea if it is based on how he talks
sometimes he says how he's still hungry and has motivation again and wants more titles and other times he talks about how =tired he is.He never used to mention fatigue before
