I'd say he has a slight shot at any but Wimby but he had to choke to avoid the final there last year, so I suppose he has a shot at all of them (Fun fact: 2 years in a row Ferrer had SP in the late stages of a Slam to go up 2 sets to love on Murray and failed)
He could always win one if the top 4 are off their game or he's on fire, but even then he generally chokes. If he stops that, there's a decent chance
Depend on Nadal, he could feasibly make the RG final but I doubt he'll win any of the majors. Should be looking at winning the clay masters events, though.
You know I am well aware of that result right? I'm not on about last year, I'm on about this year. If Nadal doesn't return, which I hope he does, Ferrer will vulture through a week draw before coming up against Murray in the QF. Every one will believe that Ferrer will win because Murray is awful as hell on clay but he'll pull the ultimate troll and thrash Ferrer in 3. Not likely, but it could happen, especially considering Lendl was good on Clay and will hopefully be giving Andy all the help and advise he needs to finally play well on the surface.
He could have a very good chance at the French Open, but ONLY if he doesn't meet Federer. He has a great H2H record against Novak on clay (I believe he is winning that matchup) and he has never lost to Murray IIRC on clay, so if he draws either of them, he still has a very good shot.
Rafa will be hell either way, but considerING he has defeated Rafa in the past and has been able to really push Rafa in the past on clay, I think if he draws Rafa he has a respectable chance to pull the upset considering Rafa's return to the game.
However, Federer will still be Ferrer's biggest nightmare. I mean he has never defeated Roger and has barely taken a couple sets off him, and they have played on clay as well..
Ferrer would be able to beat everyone but Nadal at RG. Do you really think that Nole would have a walk in the park with him there? David will have his chance in Paris.
I think last year he could have beat anyone but Nadal. Nadal was phenomenal last year. But we really know too little right now, it depends on whether Nadal comes back, in what shape he comes back, and whether Ferru can play as well in Paris as he did last year.
Even if Nadal doesn't come back, Federer and Djokovic would beat him at Roland Garros. He can reach the final with a good draw, but he won't win the title.
