I've added years 1980-82 to the post above, unfortunately some mistakes possible. I don't remember from where I got the list 1983 onwards (probably from the ATP media guide), but I see differences between this list and my stats included to |Stats| part of my e-book project :/ Of course differences aren't huge, 1991 for example 16 & 17.

2013 starting well for potential first time winners. Dimitrov has a chance of getting a title too.

Voo, do you happen to know the last time a player won his first 2 tournaments in consecutive weeks, as Fognini just did?

Last one that comes to mind is Del Potro, 1st title Stuttgart and 2nd Kitzbühel 2008 came in consecutive weeks. Then he took two weeks off and won two more tournaments in consecutive weeks in LA and Washington

I might have forgotten someone in between.

Thomas Johansson also won his first two titles within two weeks, 1997 (Copenhagen & St. Petersburg)

Awesome. Thank you both

I guess this means Fognini will go on to win a slam like Del Potro and Johansson?

Default Re: Maiden ATP crown - numbers (long list from Doumbia to Spadea)

Nice list Voo,
but I don´t think it says something important to us. And of course it´s hard to compare situation now and 30 years ago. Many good players never won an ATP tournament (Daniel Vacek, Martin Damm, ... ), but you remember them much more than for example Altur, who played mostly challengers. And I also think many players concentrate more on getting more money than winning any of small tournaments (with much less prize money).
