I would say it's more of a mid range match in difficuly. Could be easier, could be tougher. With his form in Auckland, and Robredo losing to Millman(and apparently he didn't play well at all in that match) I think Levine can definately win it, probably 50/50 if you ask me

Yeah, it's winnable, but it's also 5 sets and Robredo has been to the QF here before and Levine never past R2.

Took care of business and took out Robredo in four close sets. Next up is likely Simon - would give Jesse a 40% chance of winning.

Tough good R1 win for Levine, Simon next, not likely to win it, that's ok as he's back in the top 100 now.

Default Re: Jesse Levine

I'm torn. On the one hand, I don't appreciate him saying he feels more American than Canadian. I know it was probably a PR move because he played for USA.. but still. And I don't like the fact that he chose to come back now, seems terribly convenient, just as Canada is doing quite well. I doubt he would have made the switch if Canada was not doing well. I also think it's kind of an insult to Pospisil, Dancevic, Raonic, Polansky, even the upcoming Peliwo, who have been here through it all.. even the bad times, and made Tennis Canada what it is today. It's not fair that he takes the DC spot from other players who have been here through everything.

On the other hand, he is a great addition to the team. He is born and raised in Canada, so he is technically Canadian. It's a good thing that the switch is benefitial for Canada for once, not like the traitor who made the switch to the UK all those years back. Also, I think this is great, because he's a top 100 player. He's a great addition to the team, even if it might not be fair to the other players, there's no denying he's a fairly good player, and the team will do better with him. The players can also push each other to be better, because there will be more fighting for the DC spots. It's always been between Dancevic, Pospisil and Polansky. I think they can push each other and be better, the increased competition can be a good thing.

All in all I feel like the switch is a good thing for Team Canada. Oh, and good luck in AO Jesse

Should have had that 3rd set, terrible end of the TB. Doubtful he recovers to win the final 2 sets but you never know, it's hot out there, hopefully Simon can't handle it, while Jesse ups his game

According to this week's rankings, Levine rose from #88 to #81 thanks to his 2nd round showing at the AO. Looking good.

Good win vs. a tough player, I wonder how motivated he is to play this event since he's back in the top 100 now, should cruise through Demo if he's up for it.

62 60 tough rematch with fellow Canadian Dancevic. I hope he can get the win as he is the defending champ here; will lose a lot of points if he doesn't. Good luck Jesse.
