Welcome, always glad to be of assistance. As I mentioned in the "general message board", I still have a bad headache from just watching 1 match and God knows how Grigor was feeling. His skin felt so hot 20 minutes after the match, I am glad he took precautions to get out of the sun quickly. And so many players were critical of the decision to make them play during the worst temperatures.

At least at the AO they suspend the matches and continue after 5-6 p.m. Grigor will be fine there. Radwanska said today she would have preferred to play at 11 p.m... And she won...

Otherwise he seem fine, I told him we all wish him best of luck.. and to apologise to Tsveti from us because we can't make it to Melbourne this year to support either of them...

They seem fully focused on Melbourne now, so I am expecting great things from Grigor!!! : banana:

I think that it is okay that he didn't try to win. But he exaggerated a bit.
For Melbourne I hope that he plays a player who is Seefeld between 25 and 32 then he would have a good chance to reach at least R3

I watched the match - it seems that Grigor looked pretty exhausted from the beginning; once he missed those early breakpoint opportunities and lost his own serve he didn't have much spirit left. Given this is a smaller tournament and he didn't really have any major points to defend I don't have any problems with him going down easy in this match. A good showing at the AO will definitely make up for not making it too far here.

Could be interesting, cuz Feli had 63 , how about Grigor?

well he has played with quite a lot of partners already even if we count only those from ATP level: I recall Petzchner, Seppi, K. Skupski, Tursunov, Tomic, Nishikori maybe Harrison? Did he play with Harrison I don't rememmber? And also a guy whose name I cannot recall - last year at Mamphis I think...an American...John...something...

I am so glad you can go and support him there as well! Please, give him our love. We should probably try and find you a Bulgarian flag or scarf, at least for Brisbane next year, where we all hope Grigor will do better - as he promised

That's a shame about the Fognini match. I didn't see it, but it sounds like I didn't miss much. Anyways, here's hoping for a good draw at the Australian Open and that he wins a couple of matches there.

Brisbane rules are stupid, there is a ban on flags. If you get caught with one it is confiscated. Apparently flags create too many riots or some rubbish. For robin I used to wear Swedish tshirts and Swedish hats cos those are allowed. I wonder if I can track down a Bulgarian flag for the Aussie open??
