I saw that, but play starts in just over 2.5 hours in both Auckland and Sydney. Monday 10pm CET is 21 hours after the start of play. ..I don't understand deadlines not being tied to the start of play. Seems to me that if they're not, those that pick after matches begin have an advantage in that some first round players (some of whom they might otherwise have chosen) may already be eliminated.

you can change your team at any given time before the deadline so if you pick player x now and he loses let's say 10 minutes before the deadline you can still replace him. In reality it means that some matches already have been played yes, but usually it's not that many. I think the monday deadline is that people have the chance to make their teams as sometimes draws come out late. In GS and MAsterevents deadline is always before the main draw begins, these draws are out early always so...
