I'm now switching to Cuba. The Cuban I know best (not personally) is José Raoul Capablanca, World Chess Champion 1921-27. He was the first man to win a World Championship Match without losing a single game. It was said of his style of play that you always knew what he was going to do, but somehow found it impossible to prevent anyway.

My first association with Castro is a more pleasant one. Domingos Castro is the last man ever to get away from the pack in a long-distance track championship run. World Athletics Championship 1987, 5000 metres. Nobody took him seriously, but he almost held out to the end, being caught only by one of his pursuers and securing a silver medal.
He is not Cuban, though. He is Portuguese.

I only hear good things about the country, I guess they are poor but I thing they are happy
By friend visit the country with her hubby and told me, beautiful country and super nice ppl but I think all of South America is 1. Beautiful 2. Nice ppl

I'm sure they are nice, but they're not South American. They're either North American or Central American, whichever of those you prefer. If you divide the continent in two, they're in the Northern bit.
