Re: Frank Dancevic
Frank wasn't 100% to go and play in Japan. He started preparation for upcoming season with a new coach. I feel it would be interesting year and a lot of surprises.

Any update on Frank's schedule for the upcoming season? From http://live-tennis.eu/playersSchedule it looks like only AO Qualies are on schedule now. Hope he is fit for DC.

Re: Frank Dancevic
Well, that question is answered ... Frank is playing qualifier in Brisbane ... first up Rhyne Williams and then potential 2nd round with "new Canadian" Levine. Should be interesting.

Re: Frank Dancevic
I expected that to be honest. He didn't seem on his game early against Williams. He had multiple break points in the first couple games, and then suddenly it went to 4-4 and he won 8 straight games, I'm definately thinking a Williams injury there, people do suddenly pick there game up but Frank's return game isn't the kind that breaks serve 4 times in a row.
Levine is usually the better player, when Frank is on his A game he's probably better but Levine is more consistent.
Dssapointing none the less

Re: Frank Dancevic
Well someone had to lose, sadly, Levine is still not an official Canadian, but if you want to think of him that way now, you can of course, I see Levine as the better player right now, as Dancy, no matter how you dress it up, is probably in his decline years, whereas Levine has probably at least 2 good years left, so sorry Frank, but it looks like your DC days are over, unless you want to be a hitting partner for them.

-Are you sure about that? (this is only a first tournament)
-For your information Vasek is 50%-50% for the upcoming tie! (he is sick: cold be 1,2 or 3 months ????)
-Levine needs 3-months by ATP rule to become Canadian Davis-Cup player. (he requested a months ago to become a Canadian)
-I think Polansky Bester and Frank deserve more than Levine if you ask me. (true Canadian)
-Where was Levine when Bester, Polansky Frank and other Canadian had to play level below World Group????????????
-He was using the system,,,getting wild cards in US. (also he was asked few years back to play for Canada but he refused because USA was giving him more than Canada.
-NOW when Canada can make some impact in the World Group with Milos and Nestor,,,,,,, he wants to be part of it.
-Oh yes every tie will be around 15k, plus Roger Cup wild cards (that is around 40K to play for Canada)
.................That is the biggest reason in my opinion,,,,,What do you think NOW............

Yup, that is why I have been completely silent on the issue to date.
I hope to see Frank playing for Canada well before I hope to see Levine.

For your info the argument doesn't really work, because US tennis is much bigger than Canada tennis, and has for years been able to offer more, if you ask me the USTA is easily one of the best TA's in the world, so of course Levine is going to pick the best option for his career, as I have said tennis players will always pick the best option for their career, who can blame them, especially if they are lower ranked players, they need all the support they can get, if you just read the Millman story you would know this, they will go where there is money if they aren't from a rich family or the federation isn't offering what they are looking for, in this case it looks like the USTA decided it was time to not support him so much and Canada still wanted him, so blame tennis Canada, not Levine.
Of course he's going to use the system, that's what it's there for.
Anyhow I've already said I don't really care what his reasons are, and in the end they don't really matter, all that matters is that he plays for Canada now and is another good option for the team.
How do you know Vasek is sick, thanks for that info btw.
It's funny you should be saying this since TC hasn't supported Dancevic nearly as much as they have Pospisil, Raonic, Nestor and Peliwo, I was saying that they should have gotten him a different coach awhile ago, yet they never did, guess they didn't think much of him.
Canadian tennis fans, some complain when we lose players (Rusedski) now we complain when we gain one.
